Whelp das it for the vacation...

We rented a car and headed towards Binghamton a quaint little town 3hrs northwest of New York.. Hung out there for a bit, the people were quite friendly and nice.. Ate at the Ponderosa which is like a cross between Sizzler and Hometown Buffet.. You could order a steak platter for 9$ or have an all you can eat buffet..
Hung out at the estate which was a pretty big place.. it was originally a hunting lodge that the family bought and then added and added and added and added onto.. We were chillin in the paddleboat in the middle of their private lake. It was a cool wedding.. i learned one thing from it though.. be ready waaaay earlier than supposed to or don't take as many pictures..

Afterwards went to Niagra Falls.. Boy is that place wet! They've got this package deal thing for like 25$ you get a bunch of passes to do 3 things.. The standard Old school RangerBob movie, which we missed.. The boatride which brings you to about 35feet from where the waterlands on the Horseshoe falls.. You get wet from the misting ejecta. They provide these plastic bags where you hide inside.
And the 3rd is where you go down a mineshaft and get to the bottom of the Bridal Vail falls and get splashed on, if you want.. Well it's secondary splash.. if you'd got hit from the falls itself i don't think that'd be anywhere enjoyable.. This time though you get the plastic bag BUT they also give you teva style flip-flops for you.. Woohoo! my first pair!
i just can't believe that my camera still works, i guess since it hasn't had direct contact to water, just spray, mist, snow (from boarding) on the outside it's still cool.. i'll post the pics.. one day.. when my webpage is revamped..

So things to know of the east coast..
1) There is no toilet seat covers..
2) The people are nice, they just meanmug you as a deterrant..
3) Traffic SUCKS in manhattan!
4) The speedlimit is mindnumbing! 55mph in the boonies, where theres nothing around you..
5) Toll roads are the way to go.. but you've gotta pay.. It's worth it..
6) i gotz my Magic Hat #9!! woohoo!

ok, i'm gonna get knocked out.. even though it's 6.. flying 6hrs and then getting the time reset on you is ugh.. AND i've gotta work! ick!..

I never knew the pub that they used as the main image in the sitcom Cheers was in Boston.. Unfortunately the insides had nothing to do with the show.. Too bad i didn't bring my USB cord or card reader.. i'll post my pole hanging activities later.. heh..
We roamed around the boston commons, hung out at Newbery Street.. it's like the shopping area in burlingame or the botique shops at Chestnut in the marina.. Afterwards had some Boston Clam Chowda at the Boston Market (ain't much chicken sales in that place)..
I got my old school favorite east coast beer.. Magic Hat No. 9.. ahhh yea it's been a while since i had this almost ale.. it's coming back with me to cali!
heh..
i'll probably won't be blogging since we're going to the cuts till monday..
Weeeee!

*EvenMoreTired*

went to Coney island and had some original original Nathan's Hotdogs.. it's ok, i don't see the appeal of it.. just like Krispy Kremes.. But it's 2.25$ each here and not 4$ in Vegas!!!! But then i hear a pack of Nathans Dogs is about 1.50$ a pack.. haha~! The fries are like ickie soggy-mush potatos.. All i tasted was grease and starch, the kind Roz likes.. I prefer the crunchy crispy french fries..
Anyways.. rode the Cyclone wooden coaster ride and a bunch of other twirly rides that roxanne favors.. Got me all naucious.. *ick*
Ate dindins with the whole clan.. But somehow we met up at 6:30pm and didn't leave the place till 9:30pm wassup with that!!??
Afterwards we got to the Empire State building, it's only 86 floors.. yet, it's the most jimongous buildings in the world eh..
We found out from our cousin that in Chinatown they have these deals where you can go on a 4hour bus ride to Boston for 10$ each way.. So guess what..
We're going to Boston tommorrow! and its late as heck and we got the 7am bus!!!! Man!!

Tiring!

Roamed a bit around Central Park.. My Cousin and his gf took their days off and we were supposed to head to Coney Island but this silly thunderstorm system! bah!! Anyways here at Central park they have a deal this week where all the big posh restraunts have these discounted meals.. 3-course lunch for 20$.. 3-course dinner for 30$.. We were gonna eat at the Tavern on the Green in the midst of Central Park but their earliest reservation was 9:15pm bah! the dinner 3-course is normally 46$ goodness! too bad though..
So we wandered down 5th ave, down 25 blocks or so to the empire state building.. Well it's cloudy and humid and it's raining here and there.. We bought tickets to get to the top but the peoples said to come the next day or so.. the view is waaaay better.. ookay..
Went to one of our original pizza places that we ate the previous time.. Mmmmm Coal-Fired pizza.. yum.. Then headed back to the shack..
Coney island tommorrowz..

Tommorrow it's supposed to be a wet day! oi! thunderstorms n what not.. hmmz i wonder how it's gonna be at Coney Island..

NapTime During Lunch: 31min

Man today was a maddening day.. Busy from the getgo.. Its all good though.. i wonder if someone got drafted today as i skipped out pretty fast and heard something about not letting people leave.. heh..
Roxanne and i roamed around in search for more wedding planning stuff.. And we dunno if it's just us but we seem to have the whole thing pretty much planned out.. But i betcha someone from outta nowhere is gonna ask some retarded but simple question and we're just gonna be blank-faced-never-thought-of-it look..
Anyways we just saw this neat thing that the people in downtown san mateo do. it's called the Wine walk and for 20$ you get a wineglass and you walk around the shops which have setup wines, foods, and some places had live bands.. i guess it's a neato thing to boost the cashflow in that area.. Too bad i don't drink THAT much wine...

Weeehaw!!

i'd like to thank everybody who came over saturday night for my little get together. it was quite fun and enjoyable, and not much alcohol was involved! Especially Roxanne, who set the house up with balloons and streamers n what not! Thanks for all the food, Sherwins was the best, he just brought a pack of meat.. Sorry we never got to cook it, but its been used quite a bit! And at one epic moment i had 3 Costco sized Tortilla Chip bags.. goodness!

As for today i got to sleep in.. an extra 30minutes from my usual 7am waking.. my willpower or something allowed me them gracious 30mins.. hah!

*Sigh* one more step towards retirement..

Ahh yea a day off but yet it was quite busy. Helped out Roxanne pack her schoolroom stuff and then all her coworker buddies as well.. no more school till the end of august! weee!!
We got the dvd player from her place and she also happened to have the proper connections to make it in progressive scan.. We just watched moulin rouge and the colors are maddening! i'm gonna see if i can play ultimate x on this widescreen puppy!
So the wedding stuff begins.. we looked at some places to eat around the bay.. None have what we want, but then it seems that there won't be any place that might accept our wishes.. Probably a hall, or a hotel. But we're not going in that direction.. oi!

Weeee i did a whole lotta nothing today doing some special secret squirrel stuff.. Anyways.. my peoples from Cockeyed.com has a section on how much is inside? Like a pack of ramen noodles is about 170 feet of noodle!! And a 200 sq. ft pack of aluminum foil covers an Acura Integra.. what whacky ideas do these people from Sacramento have next???

Tommorrow.. the big screen comes!!! mwahhahaa!!!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10 (Busy as heck though)
NapTime During Lunch: none
View From Home: 1 out of 10

So ya peoples wonder what rating scandle is going on with my views at my house.. well theres 3 different views from my house.. When it's a good day it's:

Thats from the 8-10 out of 10's..
Then there are these:

Thats the 0-1 out of 10's

And theres one more in between where it's real low-level clouds but i can see the ocean.. kinda neat, i'm guessing the layer forms right above the crestline so it looks foggy when your looking towards Pacifica, but since the house is right under the crest it's all clear.. One day i'll get a pic of that as well.. The 3 formations at my place.. And speaking of my place i've now postulated that i help create the fog.. And i think it is true,
ToAsTy's Theory of the Fog Belt in The California Bay Area.
All the rice cookers in this area induce tiny amounts of steam. This steam convection in combination of the butterfly effect or Chaos Theory in conjunction with the relief of the land createsOrographic Lift. The orographic lift doesn't have enough energy to produce rain. Insead it lowers the air mass temperature towards the dew point. But not quite reaching it creating fog. It also doesn't help to have a landmass with continual On-Shore, Off-Shore flow which pushes and pulls the air mass to and from the dew point..

I was thinking about this as i was showering one day. Turned on the blower and watched all the steam float away. I was wondering where it all went.. Then i wondered what about all the rest of the steam from such things as showers and rice cookers in a combined effect. ehh.. i think of too many things..

View from home leaving for work: 0 / 10 (super foggy!!)

oi, silly computer.. maybe this WPA-PSK thing for my comp is bogging it down.. i've been getting jacked up DHCP requests and therefore getting non-operational IP addresses.. i'll give it some time or else i'll just go back to MAC address filtering only..

Nada thing going on at work.. and i guess i'm at that phase where i'm feeling burned out.. i need to hang with the crazies some more or something.. it's been awhile since i felt alive..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 36min.

Ahhh yea finally i got my computer working and now i've got WPA-PSK encryption on my wireless network.. So all yall laptop whores will need the network key but it's all good.. MAC address filtering AND WPA-PSK.. sweet!

Speaking of techie goodies.. Capt'n D and his Emulator fetish got me playing a few old school games like Strider, Samurai Showdown, Spy hunter and even super old school Moon patrol.. i remembered when i was a kid at Reno, i'd go to some casino and they'd have moon patrol and i'd down so many coins in it.. and now i play it and it's soo easy.. why is that??

Finally cleaned my firearms.. now i need to make some bullets.. I've got my para tuned by Capt'n D's Buddy Steve-O.. it seems that he's been the bay areas top speed shooters and he works on 1911 platforms.. So naturally i got my para tuned a bit and it seems to function quite well.. now i've gotta make the loads that'll perfect it on the para.. oi! .40 load development is maddening since i only have several in that caliber so making one that'll work for them all doesn't seem to be the case since barrel twist rates and chamber lengths are different.. bah!! It's so much easier for the .223.. heh 'cuz i could find it online.. This one is more trial and error type stuff.. bah!

Another goodie that just came to the house is a bunch of Calphalon Hard-Anodized Wares for the kitchen.. ahhhh yea Baller gear, i can now cook like never before! Can you say 11" square crepes?? Mmmm *Drool*

Oi! whats the point of the ads???

Today was kinda fun, i finally had a day to do little.. now i'm waiting for the days where i do nothing.. one day.. one day.. i moto'd on over to the irwin blood bank and they strapped me onto this new blood sucking machine in which it doesn't take the typical one pint this one takes 2 pints worth of red blood cells only in one pints worth of blood. So this doohickey (yes i looked the spelling up at webster.com) takes a bit of my blood, filters what it wants, sticks it back into me, and then takes some more.. and i guess it's supposed to be standard where they kinda hide the tubes. But the way it was setup the tubes were just in front of me and i got to see it go back n forth.. The cool thing is that it takes 2 times the amount of good stuff and in one sitting and the recovery period is 2x the length.. 4 months insead of 2.. i'm ok with that. I wished that blood donations would be like a tax write off.. there'd be way more people giving it up..

in other news i was trotting around in the east bay and i couldn't do both of the things i was supposed to do so i wandered into the best buy over at Emeryville.. This weeks ad shows the HDTV that roxanne n i finally figured out for MSRP'd at 1799$.. the best price we found was during the memorial day sale at the good guys for 1599$. At best buy and at circuit city it was 1799$-10%. So i go look at the TV's and at the Best Buy at Emeryville it was on sale for 1399$.. i did a double take because they have an open box on the same tv for 1449$ does that make sense? and whats up with the ad? 'it's a store thing, certain stores are priced different..' So whenever i go to best buy to buy something do i ask the person if other stores have it cheaper? This is the second time it's happened to me at different best buys.. The first time was my Digital camera that i was ready to pay 399$ 'cuz it dipped from 450$ for the week but at the Palo Alto it was or 359$.. Wassup with that??
Anyways now i'll have a big screen mwahahaha!

View from the house: 9/10

Weeee!

Thanks to all that came to my litle shin dig.. Some of Roxannes Coworkers came over and hung out for a bit and my peeps came over for some laptop whoring! Thanks to global warming that the weather was all good, except for some few cloudy chilly moments.. Thanks to Sherwin for assisting in everybodys networking needs as well! It turned into a lan-party for a bit. The hardest part was figuring out which game to install to everybody.. I think we're gonna need something else other than the Buggy Ghost Recon.. Maybe medal of honor.. just maybe..
I tried a new pork recipie this time a tangy-spicy, i guess the standard kinda bbq.. i used stubbs BBQ sauce Where 'My life is in these bottles!' is his motto. Capt' D had a problem with that motto but he enjoyed it.. But as for the handmade burgers.. My life is in these burgers..
