Can we go home yet?

Board Meeting At Donner..
Snow Condition: Looks like powder feels like rock..
Weather Condition: Partly Cloudy, Sun actually showed up for about 30min. Light Fluffie Snowing at about 3pm and increased steadier as time went on.

Yep after 15minutes of putting on gear and getting up to the first run.. that was it.. Me n roz were knocked out.. Putting on and taking off gear is tiring!
The snow was hard and lumpy in the morning. It had that scratchy annoying noise when you go over it, and the bumpyness kills your knees and endurance. It was me n Roz, my brother, his gf, and my brothers gang of 5 others. It was cool, part of the time we were harassing the gang, the other part we were on our own.. We found our way *almost* to boreal, the supercutties, out in the boondocks.. The only thing that i don't like about Donner, other than it's very small.. is that there is no form of terrain park.. I asked around and the only thing i get is this set of two rails, one made of wood (?!) and another of pipe and a berm that goes with the 2nd rail.. so you could either jump it.. or ride the rail.. not both, then you go all the way to the bottom of the run to go back up the lift.. rinse..repeat.. Thats it..

i owned that berm..

It's complete.. My formal gear.. of course from ebay.. I've gotta stop this ebay whoring.. i got a yellow vest with tie for 10$ and a black vest with bow tie for another 10$. It's from the same seller, which has 7$ shipping for each item. so it's probably 10$ or so. Thats 100$ for the tuxedo with 2 vests and ties. Woot!

Time for some homemade Chili and some cornbread..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 38min.

Fluffielady and i went out on the town and ate at our fav. seafood place, the hyde street seafood house.. All good foods.. Hung out and roamed around town, but silly rain was waxing and waning..

Tech goodies! a fully wooden keyboard for the treehuggers in us.. Too bad at $2500 is a *bit* too much..

For something more cheaper and cheezier.. a Hamster Powered Clock!

*yawn* ok. nitey nite..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 2 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 20min.. then another 19..

Let's see.. watched Shaolin Soccer.. It's a goofy movie.. a chinese semi-spoofy kinda movie. The action when it's non-computer enhanced is cool. But when it's all computer manipulated it starts into the realm of goofy.. i liked it.

Also watched a bit of Monsters Ball.. it's one of those whacky hidden meaning kinda movies. i sawmost of it and it didn't appeal to me.. It's kinda twisted also..

And lastly we saw Bowling for columbine.. It sucked, it had no point. In Fahrenheit 9/11, there was all this conspiracy theory. In Bowling for columbine it's all random facts that don't congeal. I always liked the anti-gun statistics.. 30-40something in japan.. How does Japan do that when there is supposed to be no guns, theres always a weapons ban there. Banned guns won't work in the US. I've met a few gun runners at work and they explain to me that it's beyond easy to manipulate it so they get CRATES of them.. Of course the shaft goes to the normal people.

Heck, normal people have been taking the shaft forever now. My favorite word is to 'accommodate'.. People have suffered through whatever problems they had. Now normal people need to go out of their way to accommodate for others.. Weak i tell you..

Hmmz other news.. RangerBoB went and got his measurements for his tux.. Since i got my 40$ tuxedo already, all i needed is the shirt, vest and tie.. I go to the Selix (another selix moment) and get measured. To rent a shirt is 15$ to buy is 30$.. ok.. i bought it, thats 75% of the value of my tux haha!. I bought it since i'm gonna be using my tux again in the end of March. The vest and tie to rent costs 37$!!! when they told me the total i laughed and they went to explain that if it's individual pieces it costs more.. I go explain to them that my jacket and pants cost as much as the vest and tie rental.. hahaha
Time to look in ebay for some vests and ties!

And lastly Mr. Hairline Fractured Rib bought RangerBoB's snowboard.. Hopefully it'll be put to good use.. Ride on!

Didn't do squat today.. finally..

Got the Tuxedo yesterday, the jacket seems in pretty excellent shape.. the neckline looks very good / new.. the pants are ok, not as new as the jacket but the both are cool.. It came in what i can only describe as a pizza box, but with the tuxedo rental's place on it. Kinda cool, RangerBoB ok'd it for me using it in vegas.. ahh yea.. Pimpsuit! All i need is to get the shirt, vest, tie.. He also brought up the snowboard that he's selling.. He's going on a sell-a-thon or something.. Anybody want a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 500R motocycle? it's got 800-something miles only!

Today my 2000 rnds of .40cal brass came. it looked semi-cleaned, looks good enough to load up without tossing into the tumbler.. i'll do that after i shoot it. Gun people are interesting, they're the most honest people i've ever met. I won the ebay auction at 12.50$ the post stated 8$ shipping.. the Postage tag says $7.70.. I also had a pleasant time with Jim Holliger of White Oak Armament. I ordered a Holliger Tuned Rock River 2-Stage Match trigger from him. I emailed him and his only reply was 'tell me what your address is and i'll send it..' nothing about payment, nada. Sidenote: at the rock river webpage the 2-stage was $130. This guy gets them and modifies them for a smoother pull for $115.. Anyhow i didn't believe him so i called, and he said the exact same thing. Whats your address? So i give it to him and get the trigger. i just sent a check and it was all good..

Made some beef stew on the slow cooker. Did some laundry.. Played some Counter-Strike.. I now have a firewire cable as well as a new keyboard, so i'm all happy now. Full on Digital Video from the MiniDV cam! Re-recorded my 3-gunning but the video comes out icky.. there are sooo many different formats to encode to.. Oi! The Best Flowing Video is at about 120mb. Hmmz, it seems i got a decent setting at 15mb..

Lately i've been going back to listening my favorite old school music.. Classical.. Theres something about quartets, and solos (Piano, Violin, Cello, Any Guitar) that does it for me.. I'm guessing it's knowing that people have spent their lives playing and playing and playing to produce such good sounding action. It's also lovely to hear the interplay between several instruments coexisting and complimenting each other. Orchestras are nice but quartets are specialized. 2 violins, 1 cello, 1 viola, 1 error and everybody hears it.. To listen to it is beautiful (even more beautiful on the home theater system), to watch it is amazing. I'm currently hooked on Bach's Double Concerto in D Minor.. It's only a trio but it's whats produced that matters.. Bach's Little Fugue in G Minor is cool too, if i can find it with stringed instruments.

*Play Final Fantasy Music*
I think yesterday i gained enough experience points for the next level..

Today i rode to work full-on in the rain. I got the rainpants on and got going.. It was raining pretty good.. I need to go back to my parents house to get my gore-tex boots.. Everything was drenched, somehow even water got inside my gloves.. For some who knows what reason, there was a whole lot more traffic than usual..

I got home ultra drenched.. Squishie shoes n all. i think i've upped a level in riding in the rain. It's all about getting used to it..

i keep forgetting to add but at the Shack, Little Lucca, theres 50 menu sandwiches.. I've tried 28 of them.. Theres certain ones that i know i won't get, cheese sandwiches, veggie sandwiches, and theres a few where it's only available on tuesdays and fridays.. My last was a BLT.. it was pretty good kinda small since it's only bacon as meat. The current front runners are the Fire-Roasted Steak Caesar ($5.95, tastes like cheesesteak), and chicken santa-fe ($5.95).. Sandwich anyone?

Finally got the road tires, from supergo.com.. At the store it's $60 MSRP, for sale at 35$ each.. online it's 20$ whats the diff?

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1.5 out of 10 (it went by quite fast)
NapTime During Lunch: 17min

Happy valentines day!

i just don't get it..
you try to go to sleep but you toss and turn..
you try to wake up but fall asleep..

does any of this make any sense?
As for the latter part i did have a dream while i snoozled for 10minutes over my alarm. Then flinging myself awake since i knew i went back to sleep..

work was work.. i'm the multi-purpose man now.. I've taken cookieboy's spot and i'm also the cable repair guy.. i do tech support on-site and over the phone.. man!
Anyhow i was riding my moto back home in the rain and halfway home i noticed that i was riding almost the same speed as i do when it's dry.. How bizarre when your riding on subconscious instead of constantly thinking of it.. But hey, thats how i won 4th place kneeling in the nationals.. Mexican restaurants and french fries was all in my mind, not one thing about loading or aiming that rifle.. How odd..

Fluffielady and i cooked and watched Cold Mountain for valentines.. it was the last of 3 movies left from netflix.. I can summarize that movie as one big fedex home delievery.. Man and woman 'sorta' fall in love.. it's very ambigious.. then civil war happens.. she waits for him to return (ala the fedex relationship).. he has to trek across the vast terrain of North Carolina (over the hills and yonder), while avoiding hunting parties looking for confederate deserters (what a waste of Human Resources, especially after shooting the deserter.) then things happen, she gets the delievery then other stuff happens.. The Movie is 2:43min long.. man!

it's funny movies.. After hanging with the crew for so long, we do it where we question every scene or note every difference inbetween (man wears something on one scene, next scene it's gone..) and talk smack once in a while inbetween.. Fluffielady likes to be enveloped in the story, to be actually there in the scene.. Only to be disturbed by my questioning.. 'did you see that? she was aiming that rifle into the sky and she hit that guy??? you can't do that!' heh.. Happy valentines!

NapTime During Lunch: 35min

Hmmz haven't updated in a while.. let's see.. i went canabalizing.. computer parts. My buddy paul, AND my old roomie from singapore back in the fresno days bought a K6-2 300mhz. He left it to us when he moved back in '99.. My brother had it for a while and i got a 550mhz.. eventually it got passed around the block a few times and now i have it back. Took the essentials and now fluffielady has it. We call it 'the jhin' 'cuz he endures all and still keeps on going, same with the computer. Let's see, Jhin owned it, passed to me, then my brother had it, he gave it to his gf, in the meanwhile i think i had paul's or it was someone else k6-2.. everybody had k6-2's!! Fluffielady's was a k6-2 300 with 64mb ram and 8mb video. Now it's a K6-2 550 with a Geforce2 Pro i think 32mb. It's a rockin! My one treat that i finally get is a floppy drive. For the life of me and PC's i've never had a floppy disk drive. I'd say 90% of the time i survived without it. Somehow i always got important drivers or what not without using a floppy.. the times in which i did, i just borrowed my brothers (the one i have now) and put it back. It's kinda funny 'cuz since i put it in i've used it twice already! once for network drivers for the k6-2 550. and the second time to update the firmware on my old dvd drive. It can now read burned dvd's! woo!

Let's see i've been riding. The real thing that sucks is that i live on top of a hill. Which means that whichever way i go is down in the beginning, but coming back is always up.. And being that it's a road bike and a single front cog at that. It's ok on some uphills, but i shouldn't have done it but i was too lazy to drive. I went all the way down to the post office, near the safeway / papa murphy's. Going there was easy.. 4minutes.. top speed of 38mph (i'll do better)(it's a brakepad killer).. on the way up.. hah! 4mph 15minutes.. i was imagining good old Lance and his epic climbs up the french mountains.. lordy i need more work on that..

What else.. i won a tuxedo jacket on ebay for 10$ sweet.. i emailed the guy and he's tossing in the pants for 20$ more total price 40$ not bad, i hope it's not all tore up though.. Also i've never expected myself to look on ebay for firearms, they don't sell firearms, but people sell every accessory for them, even reloading stuff. I won myself 2000 1-time fired cases of .40's.. i think that'll do. i've got enough (3p's) Primer, Powder, and Projectiles for it to be loaded twice! Ebay's soo cool.. So much wierdness could be found on ebay.. i wonder how the chest advertisers are doing.. I heard someone in our crew has a penchant for focusing their eyes on that particular space..

Speaking of weapons.. That mad shootout at the 3-gun in Chabot.. i won first place.. It musta been the last run of the day.. i was the final one, and just went all out for it.. My time was 168 seconds.. the second and third fastest was 185.. Thats what i call runnin(sprinting) n gunnin!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 4 out of 10 (and 2hrs of unwanted OT.)
NapTime During Lunch: 55min!!!

Oi, today was bizarro busy.. One of Four elevators didn't work and it was becoming a pain for people to manuever. The upstairs kitchen, which supplies all of the 6th floors stuff gave only 1/2 of what we ordered.. Come on now.. Do people really think that 12 bottles of Milk, OJ, and Cranberry Juice will last for 3 shifts of peoples? hah!

Fluffielady came back home feeling all crappy again. And this time it's worse because the air quality test shows nothing unusual.. ok, then why is she feeling all tore up every monday? This is getting weak..

Ahhh yea i think i found the God Bullet Recipe for the Para..

yes thats right.. recipies for your bullets!
It makes for good controlable controlled group shots. And at 25 yards hit the spot right on!
My AR even though it was sighted for 200 yards was doing pretty good with the night sight (big aperature). The Day sight (small aperature) hit low but i was aiming at the top of the chest of the target. Which landed a good solid "A" scores. i think i did pretty good. We had a whole bunch of my coworkers come out to play as well. A total of 7 of us. The only thing that sucked was the usual group downfallage. We all wanted to stay together, this made us into this gigantic group that stayed till the end of the event! We were there till 4pm! Normally at Chabot the 3-gun has 12-18 people. Today for some unknown reason there were about 30!
There were 3 stages, from easy close range to 50 yarders. It was all fun till we got to the 50 yarder. Everybody was having feeding problems, some kinda whacky jamming.. man! I brought this junk SS109, the same stuff which made me start reloading, and it jams up on me.. Gladly enough i am in tune with my AR15 and i know when it cycled and when it didn't.. Heck it had several double feeds.. Also the SS109 crap has military crimped primers, which is like sealing the primer into the case almost permanently. Well i had a serious malfunction and had to redo the 50 yard stage. i come to find out that theres a primer preventing my bolt from fully closing! oi! CrapAmmo.. i got put into the last of the last man shooting, everybody was tired, hungry (no lunch), bored, so i just went for it, i sprinted, not ran. I got the fastest time 168 seconds for a 56-rifle round and 32-pistol round course with no misses.. Woot!

i think the ss109's are gonna hang out with my contender or when people wanna pop bullets.. i'll need some junk ammo for these 3-gun events, reloading .223's for this isn't really worth all the trouble. i've found another .40 ammo recipe for service pistols.. most .40 pistols could only handle 1.15" long cartridges. it's only the 1911 framed puppies that you can go long.
Recipies for food.. recipies for bullets.. bon appetite!

Wierdo dreams.. i had 3 or 4 but i must blog 'cuz i only remember 2 now..
The first was that i dreamt that i woke up at 4:30am and couldn't sleep, so i went somewhere.. bah i forgot now..
the second was that the crew and i went to a renaissance faire somewhere that felt like the midwest, but it was a block away from my parents house.. There was also a rifle match as well. There where a whole bunch of people that i haven't seen in a while in that dream. Afterwards a bunch of people went one way and it was me, capt'n d and andy huey. We rode on this train and it was controlled by this eastern indian dood. We rode around and then it got to a deadend, there was a cave-in. Me, Capt'n D and Andy got out of the train and went to look. Well as we did that the train engineer backed up the train and yelled out to move out of the way. We do and he goes full speed into the cave-in.. He punches a hole but then there was a whole lotta earth shaking happening. Laterwards it was me and 2 others and we wanted to go eat. I suggested this one place and we were walking towards it, i could see the ferris wheel and it was all carnivalish. Then i realize that i didn't load up my car with the rifles for the rifle match. So i had to sit out. We sat at these bleachers and theres a reservoir next to city college by my house. Well it was all grass and there were horses roaming arond. There was this cowboy playing fetch with them horses..

Whats all that about?

NapTime During Lunch: 25min

Oi, poor roomba, it's been acting kinda schitzo for the past 3 weeks.. i called up the iRobot people (isn't that a movie or something?) and i tell them what the silly thing is doing. On it's website it says to clean every nook and crannie and i did that, still it goes all over. It comes out to be a malfunction on the sensor on the wheels.. oi.. got a return #, and only had to send off this one little component, and they'll send me a whole new one minus the removable parts.. woot!

i've been trying to study some more tricks at Lighter Tricks.com which is a spawn of zippo tricks.com.. ZippoTricks.com got canned because it was sponsored by Zippo lighters. The tricks were cool and nifty and of course someone had to spoil the fun and blamed it on the zippo people. Lo and behold a new site appears with new and improved stuff! I find it funny that 60% of zippo tricksters don't smoke. It's just a skill people want to play with.. What did it for me was this guy Morten Kjolberg whos the founder of lightertricks. There are tricks with spins and twists. This guys tricks involve tossing and setting his own finger on fire.. I dunno when i'm gonna attempt that one, it looks kinda nifty.. Until you download the video of it Gone Bad.. owza..
Kinda funny how a little a piece of metal with less than 10 parts can produce so much interesting things.. I like the zippo for it's 'clink' opening sound.. Kinda like when i shoot my M1 Garand just to hear the 'ting!' of the clip flip off the rifle.. It's the simple things that matter.. Need a light anyone?

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0 out of 10 (But sooo boring)
NapTime During Lunch: none

Today i had one of many semi-informative classes that comes and goes every year. It's also one of those classes that is supposed to 'heighten' your awareness about things.. It's also something that tries to make your paranoid as well.. either way i was zoning out the last 3 hours.

It begins.. Man of Honor duties..
Went over to pick up RangerBob's invitations. The games begin in vegas March 19.. When i got to the print shop they weren't finished so i roamed chinatown for a bit. I ventured off back and forth in the alleys and i swear they seem smaller.. I also saw the craziest stack of fake burberry purses and scarves at a candy store in chinatown.. It's got the label and all.

Invites are coming!
