Alas, tis time to bid farewell to hawaii..

Whelp now must depart from hawaii.. Poor fluffielady.. i think she found her place to be. Everybodys nice.. they play 80's music.. some people still sport the 80's look and style.. i finally found an aloha shirt (hawaiian shirt to the rest of the world(which i needed one for one of vickie's past events)). and Loaded up on ABC stuff/crap.. They were doing this deal where if you buy 100$ worth of recipts you get a free cup! woohoo! but the cup costs 2$.. oi.. Aloha Hawaii!

Mmm Spam.. Portiguese Sausage with Eggs and Rice where at? At McDonalds!

Hearing of Local specials from Cousin David.. We hear of this neat item at McDonalds. I betcha it'd do well over here in the bay area.. I've eaten at fast food places waaay too much than at home.. Lordy!

Penguins?? In Hawaii?

yes, but they hide in the Hilton Honolulu. Along with the pink flamingos and other oddities. After the Arizona Memorial we headed to a Military Hotel, the Hale Koa, thats funded by all the food services monies made around the world. The hotel, and restaurants require military ID to get services. So it's kinda neat to see that everybody around you was military or family of the armed forces.

Hanging at the USS Arizona Memorial...

The next day (the 25th), we hung out with fluffielady's cousin David whos stationed at Pearl Harbor. At the Taste of Honolulu, it's kinda a food fare at the civic center area. Mmm Chocolate dipped oreo cheesecake..

The 26th, Fluffielady and i went to Hanauma Bay and Snorkeled and Parasailed.. We got to swim with a sea turtle who was chomping at some algae. Weee! Fluffielady now found a new hobbie in which she loves.. Except that theres nowhere to snorkel in the bay area.. =
The 27th, we get to the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor and hang with Cousin david again. We get to the memorial at 10am and our tour begins at 12:45.. Hooked up with Cousin david.. he showed us the naval base. And during the bombing of 1941, 3 ships didn't make it. One was the Arizona, and the other is the Utah.. Well the utah still sits on it's side on the other side of the island. Got to see that, the USS Missouri and the Arizona..

Oooo Purdy Watafallz..

On the day of the malasada (it's actually on the 24th). I heard about this place thats not that far from waikiki.. Actually it's by the University of Hawaii, called Manoa Falls. When heading towards the falls i noticed the clouds and figured.. great.. here comes the rain.. We get to the base of the falls and it starts to rain a little. It was a warm rain and we decided to go for it. It's a 1.5mile hike and as we kept going it kept raining harder. Just like mountain biking or riding my motorcycle in the rain, once you get wet, you can't get anymore wetter. We finally reached the falls and it's quite a beautiful thing. Too bad you couldn't swim in the pool. I would ride the trail on my bike if it was allowed. On the walk back the trail became a stream and things got crazy wet.
Once we got back into the car, thankfully we had our beach gear so we dried out (sorta). But once we got into the car.. the Rain ends.. dood..
We ventured to the east side of the island.. I got to drive on all 3 of hawaii's -interstates-.. H-1, H-2, H-3.. woo!

Oh yes.. fried ball of goodness.. the Malasada..

Yes, Pineapples grow in bushes.. and yes.. there are flaming pink pineapples..

No. of individual ABC stores entered already: 10
Monies Saved by the Book: $77.50 + more free foods.

Roaming around the island of Oahu.. Fluffielady and i ventured off to the land of the dole pineapple.. i never knew they were grown from bushes. Somehow somewhere urban legend states that pineapples grew from trees.. whowouldaknown? The little choochoo train tour was neat and the garden walk was whatever, but the 'worlds largest maze' is kinda cool. *if* you reach one of the top 5 time records you get something.. Well we did it in about 31 min. Whats the top 5 time records? 1st) 5min. 5th place: 9 minutes. somethings up with that one.

Afterwards ventured off to the north shore and hung out for a bit until our next luau at Paradise cove. We drove around and happen to pass by a shaved ice shop. One that i think i've seen on the food network. So we had to go and it was a pretty nice little treat, everything homemade.. woo!
We get to paradise cove and this place is different than the cultural center. You get to play around and it had a more party atmosphere. At this place Fluffielady got lei'd 4 times and was all decked out in flowers and what not. Flower princess action.. Now i've been eating buffets left n right.. it's killing me!! slowly!! and my back n shoulders are getting tinged by the sun. oi!

i dunno what we're doing tommorrow.. all i know is theres gonna be venturing going on.. All i need is some malasadas.. Mmmm

No. of individual ABC stores entered already: 10
Monies Saved by the Book: $32 + motr free foods.

Yesterday, we got to hang with Bert's cousins.. (cousin Lelan says wassup bert!!!) at the Polynesian Cultural Center. It's a theme park with 7 island countries, spanning the pacific ocean. It was supposed to teach you the differences, but the only thing i learned was: 1) tahitians tell their stories by shaking their hips in dance, while hawaiian stories is told by the hands and 2) it takes 2 years on canoe to go to samoa from hawaii..
Fluffielady finally get's lei'd, shes always wanted one.. After roaming the islands you eat and watch a show of the many different dances of each nation. The (non)inspiring part was when eating i had a flashback of dorm food.. i suppose the food is 'amazingly authentic' but it had that residence dining hall feel to me. I like the show, not 'cuz of the dancing action but these people waving signs saying no flash photography and everybody's taking flash photos.. what lamers.. Didn't get back till 10:30.. ack!

Today we woke up kinda late and did our 9:30am beach visit. The wierdest thing was after eating lunch we were tired like no other. Whats with laying around in the sand and sitting on the waves that just knocks you out?
So today we ate, beached, ate, napped, and Fluffielady had a penchant for Ruby Tuesdays.. it's a american food kinda place, sorta like chili's or TGI'Fridays.. but has a salad bar big food. I had the mango-bbq sauced baby back ribs. i think it came from more like a teenager-backed ribs 'cuz there were tons. I didn't have my digi cam but i did take pics of the boneyard on my cell. Too bad i forgot my flash card reader.. =(
Tommorrow we've rented a car and gonna roam the island aimlessly.
As always.. if you do not have a destination.. then you are not lost..

oh ya.. a combo meal in McDonalds is 7$ but it comes with pineapple! woo!

7:45am.. this is gonna be a horrible morning.. heh

No. of individual ABC stores entered already: 8
Monies Saved by the Book: $5 + got free additional foods.

Aloha peoplez!
Landed ok in Honolulu yesterday. Got to the hotel and hung out. Fluffielady wasn't expecting the whole urban lifestyle. She thinks this area is Las Vegas + Venice Beach + the Weather from the midwest all in one.
Time zones are always a silly thing. i've gotten used to it. i dunno if fluffielady did, she actually woke up earlier than i did. I woke up thinking it was 9am, she woke up thinking it was 10am. She finds out she got up around 6:30. i was up at 7:10.. Got our 'continental' breakfast and went to the beach, a whole one block away. We think it's good to lay out in the morning, theres not many people and it doesn't have the blazing heat, yet.
Afterwards went shopping. Looked around all the malls. Fluffielady likes to see the Chanel store inbetween the ramen shop and the indoor gun range.. Yep, first try out and i find a gun range.. what are the chances? Too bad the range is seriously for japanese tourists. My coworker was telling me about how he'd bring japanese tourists to Chabot and charge each guy 40$.. he made ok money with that, but he make the big money with the ammo.. 20$-30$ for a box of 9mm? sure.. chingching! At this range they have package deals. the cheapest is 40$ and you get to shoot 3 pistols in .22 caliber..woo! the big daddy action is 140$ and you get to shoot an AR, AK and pistol.. Tourist trap?
We headed to the ala moana mall. This place is crazy large! Fluffielady was eyeing a Burberry purse.. i dunno though. They do have some $40 a pair for boxershorts.. nah..
We've been looking for some of that waterless alcohol based hand cleanser stuff. But none of the stores have it. Oi!
Tommorrow we've booked a trip to the Mormon owned Polynesian cultural center. It'll be an all day thing. Except for the most-likely morning bathe in the Pacific Ocean.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .3 out of 10 (time just flew)
NapTime During Lunch: 22min, with slight snoring

Whelp there goes that. My 6 month rotation is up for the Warcraft boss (ookay, yesh me lord..). My minions are being controlled by someone else now. It was starting to drag, 6 months of the same thing. i never did get that TV set for that one cell. I ordered it in march.. oh well!
Now it's vacation time, i'll be back in the beginning of july. Heading off to Hot n Humid Hawaii! woowoo! It's been a while since i've been there, this will be fluffielady's first time. i'll probably be a bit darker and hopefully not a bit fatter. My coworkers suggested that i take surfing lessons.. i might do that. how many hobbies do i need? My neighbor across the street builds them.. heck, all my neighbors are surfers.
Hopefully i'll be able to find somekinda internet access. The hotel has it for 10$ a day.. ouch! can i call up sbc for it's 14.95 for 1 month? heh

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .3 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 25min, with snoring.. ick

i dunno if i should mention this. A secret society of ninja teachers might take me out. But Fluffielady found a teachers lounge at Great America yesterday.. yep, free foods and drinks. lounge all you want, Set the kids loose, tell them to come back before the buses go. yaddie..
Fluffielady today felt sad that her 8th grade kiddies are going away. Today is their last day of school, all she has to do is clean up her classroom which is already done. Poor fluffielady. =Yesterday i rode about on the moto. These new tires make it easier to do turns, you don't lean as much as my older ones, yet you turn the same amount. This means that if i leaned even greater i'll need to speed up to compensate, and thats bad, evil actually. no wonder their called Pirelli Diablo's..
Met up with my brother, he picked up RangerBoB's purple moto. A new ranger has arrived! We booked around and he seemed to do pretty good on his first ride. From what i can see in the rear mirror. My old katana had too much weight and power for him. He'll learn on that puppy till i get my new bike. He should have skillz by then.
I tried installing my new scope that i recieved at christmas onto the 1903, but the scope placement wasn't good. I still don't know if i should have it scoped. heck i've gotta figure out how good the rifle is. Also i did a database lookup on the 1903 and found that it was made in 1928 woo!.. If you have an old firearm and wanna know it's age, come to the Antique and Collectable Firearms database and look for manufacturer dates.
Time to dodge scoresheet welding ninjas..

Looking for a new ride? I'll race your Jetbus limo, with my Bugatti.. The jetbus sounds more fun (ala. partybus) seats 30-50 people..

And Vicks, someone took our web of relationships to the next level. This guy has made a program which shows all the people in your circles. It shows an avatar for everybody in your network and the closer ones show love while the ones turned away means that they've been ignored.. thats some serious six-degrees of separation..

Woooo!

Thanks everybody who popped up at Roz's. I felt the luv all over that place. And Roz n Robyn enjoyed having a possee at their place for the first time. i had a dandy of a time! July we're gonna have a rotation going for events!
Finally i got my pics from roz's camera, and off to costco it goes for processing. I do say though why in the world did some guy bring his sheep?
Oh vicks, i actually found TWO craigslist postings, that you'd like. When i'm bored i check out the 'best of craigslist' they have the funniest postings! It used to be called top-10 postings but it got out of hand. This post is about a person looking for a 'body double' at their cubicle. Then i found a challenger to your freecell abilities! This girl is probably working at the body double place now.. Her record is 6.. beh, i've beaten that, mine was 16, until i reinstalled xp.
Craigslist rules!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .8 out of 10 (5.25hrs OT)
NapTime During Lunch: 5min, then another 30min.

yes, industrialized food service.. where the most expensive item costs $1.90, is that the best or what?
Why do i even watch the news anymore.. it used to be the first 10minutes of the show was about death.. now the whole show is about death.
Today i got to avoid another traffic causing van, heading to work. i love my moto, it's soo effortless to manuever. Lao Tzu says it best.. 'Yield and Overcome.'

Watched Bad Santa, i ordered it when it came out on netflix. That movie is crazy funny!
and i've started watching Record of Lodoss wars. It's like a dungeons and dragons flashback!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 15min, then another 20min.

Fluffieladys been having wierd dreams for the past week or so.

Oh as to vick's question. The foodage system at work is some ultra ghetto project to save money or to torture us with carbs and processed foods. Back in the day it was pans and pans of food. Just dumped on us. Then a few months ago, i suppose we got some beancounter folk and they found that the food action wasn't cost effective, years and years of contracts wasted $$$'s with the same people. The bean counter folk wanted if 1 person costs 4$ a meal, then charge for 1 person and not for 15. So the menu got changed. But it got limited to 5-6 items, and every week was same but different, 1 or 2 items wouldbe different out of the 5-6 item scheme. The food people wanted feedback and everybody complained of no fruits or fresh foods, that the chinese chicken salad and chicken ceasar salad was identical but had different dressings, a whole bunch of stuff. So the bigwigs were to have looked at our suggestions to come up with this new menu that finally showed up yesterday. They made the ordering system a bit harder, instead of choosing off a list, you gotta know the number.. Like in vietnamese places #12! for u! and also like vietnamese places they got this poster up with pics of the lunches. All the pics show the food in it's reality, i guess they didn't have a flash on their camera. Most of the pics are dark, probably 'cuz they don't want you to see what it is. Theres two kinds of pizzas, on the poster both are burned. Does it make your mouth wata? i have 2 goals *if* i stay in this place. 1) To retire without waddling, please, oh please, seeing some coworkers waddling around.. man.. and 2) to have eaten enough of this crap to become biological weapon proof..
Anybody want my chinese chicken salad.. err i mean chicken caesar salad?

hmmz i wonder how good casio digi cameras are in terms of reliability.. If they're any good i might wanna check out this newest/latest/greatest.. digi cam..

And on othe random news.. today is Queen Amidala's (Natilie Portman) 24th birthday..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .75 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 29min.

Always carry backup socks!

Whacked out meterologists.. 30% chance of rain, whatever! I pop outside and it's lightly drizzling.. ok i can handle that, i get onto 280 and once i reach the 19th ave / 280 split, it starts lightly raining. But going 70mph it starts to get damp. When i reach the alemany exit it's raining.. beh! Pants all soaked, socks were 1/2 wet, thank goodness for spare socks in the bag.
Theres a new menu system going on with a picture chart ala vietnamese restaurant style. But the pics are underexposed and one picture of the pizzas was burnt, they don't care, they still took a pic. The other bad thing is that it shows this brown folding box pretty big in the picture. When i saw it arrive (very late, like usual) it's this super tiny thing, i'd say 3in by 2in by 2 in.. Dood..

Anyhow 8hrs go by and i head to the training division for some gun locks that fluffielady wants to use on her lockers at work. After that ventured back to Die Werkstatt and got my turn signal bulbs.. woowoo! But during all that it's raining. i finally get to the freeway and my pants are all wet, i actually got to ride under one of them waterfall deals when you pass an overpass. Can't get any more wetter than that. People drive so slow in the rain AND they hog up the fast lanes. Yesterday i got the luxury of passing two separate occassions where i can call this one car traffic. This truck had 7 vehicles behind it, the next lane had one dood heading a group of 4 others, and the other 2 lanes, empty. Guess where i'm at.. Peoples.. please move over, your 10miles/gallon tank is yesterdays news, time to get passed.

My bro got his Jacket and Helmet. He's waiting for his gloves but the time is near.. a new Purple ranger will appear.. Thats the only setback.. Purple? Jenny asks if it could be repainted. i suppose, but it'll cost a bit. Moto On!

Man spicy foods are the best! I get the strangest dreams out of them!
Today i dreamt that since it was my day off i get to lay in bed, so i hear fluffielady leave the house and i figure all is well. Well a while later she comes back, ok maybe she forgot something or was looking for something. So i go downstairs and ask whats going on, she seemed flustered and was saying something to the effect of the gang went to the INS (immigration!) about her. I'm like what?? a few minutes later J n Bert come into the house so i ask whats going on? J says that fluffielady's carrying something in her purse that's wanted by the INS.. okay.. And bert was roaming around looking for disposible razor in the house.. Then i wake up..

Got my hair cut finally. Brotherman HairStylist sleeps from 4am-11am. i always bug him to see if he's been partying too hard or drinking like a savage.. nope, he's cleaning after his doggies. 4 of them.. woo!

Afterwards Chilled with uncle lau, he wanted to check out a place for a friend for some firearms pricing.
After that went to Bri's new pad in Foster City. The pimpshack with the glasshouse swimming pool.. Very nice. Ahh yea moved out, playing the psudo-married game, till it turns official! Lubed His Moto chain and wandered back to uncle lau's.
He's selling everything, anybody want a 1978 mercedes? or a 1985 MR2? I tried playing around with my jumpdrive to show him some stuff but i think it's dead. the USB connectors were kinda touchy and worked 10% of the time. Went to the Lexar webpage and talked to some folk, got a return authorization! Tis not my fault, things just break when i touch it.
I didn't each much spicy foods today, let's see if anything happens at sleepieland..

Today is lala-day..

i tried to go to 2 places today but both were closed. oi, just roamed like ghosts in the wind (fresno flashbacks). Finally i got to pick up digital pics i uploaded to costco. at .17 cents each, thats pretty good! Fluffielady and i began using our entertainment book for buy one entree get one free at one (of jillions) of thai places. Saved a whole 8$, thats 1/2 the cost of the book. thanks vicks!

Hey 10-8 boy.. this is the watch to get.. screw that Tag Carrera, It's all about the Aquaracer Calibre S. We've gotta go find out how much this thing will run!

Speaking of big money items.. My dream car is up for sale finally on ebay! the 05' Bugatti Veyron. Volkswagon Powered(?) 16-cylinder 8.0 liter with quad (4!!) turbos. Producing 1001Hp and 1250 newton/meters torque. When i heard about this car back when, it's supposed to have a 1-carat diamond on the speedometer and tachometer. This car doesn't have a 0-60 speed, but it does have a 0-188mph(300 kph) in less than 14 secs. Another rumor is that this car has 2 keys. The first is to start it and all that, and the second is to turn off the 135mph limiters for full access of it's supposed top speed of 254mph. It's track verified-world record top speed was clocked at 248.5mph..

Anyhow while still having cars in the brain. I am happy to see BMW win the international engine award, in the categories, best new engine, best performing engine, and best above 4-liter engine for it's new '05 5.0 liter v-10 puppy. Making 507 hp and 525 newton meters of torque. it busts 0-60 in 4.7 and passes LEV-2 standards. It's going to be strapped to the new M5 and M6(with carbon fiber roof!). For the Next M3, it's gonna have the old m5 engine. The 4.0 Liter V-8 400hp. Trickle-down technologies eh?

Too bad none of these use diesel. I'm still waiting for a hybrid diesel to come along. These cats at the university of Wisconsin-Madison found a better more effective way of making diesel from crops.

Beh.. 455-something x.. i don't remember now.. saved one round from the rapid prone.. Theoretically it woulda been a 465 or a 464.. beh! still no 470.

it's all about being in the presence of the master..
Weather was excellent, little to no winds, had my classical music bumpin while heading towards Richmond.. Met up with my rifle-shootin coworker (theres only 2) Sugui. Signed up for the second relay.. Did the pit work got warmed up a bit. Went to work it.
My Standing's not the best as it was. i dunno i need more tai chi or something. Well i decided to go make bullets just for the standing and prone since it's single loaded, and the usual set for the rapids. i dunno the new long-loaded bullets weren't working for me. i didn't like it and decided to bail after shooting the offhand.
Rapid sitting i got like a 96-2x, it went ok
Rapid prone i only shot 9, with one round jammed, i decided to continue, screw it, i wasn't feeling it from shooting standing.
At the 600-yard simulated slow prone, i decided to go all out. At that time i noticed behind me was THE high master of the range with his usual average score at 496 out of 500. i thought he was looking at my shooting but i didn't know, it didn't matter just having him behind me is kinda worrying. I call it 'in the presence of the master,' when someone outskilled is nearby and you feel unworthy. It happens when i go to the range, people don't wanna go qualify with me 'cuz it scares the bullets or something. Anyhow with him sitting behind me i decided to go for it.. why not.. The result was a 100-4x.. first time i 'cleaned' the target! woowoo! At the 8th and 9th shot my hands were trembling. Thats the thing about shooting, one shot is for one target, but after knowing that your heading towards a 100, the excitement begins to build, and thats when the errors happen. The last 2 slow prones i had 99's. I had the time to spare so i took extra to calm myself down. After shooting the high master asks 'you cleaned it didn't you'... oh yea..
I need to go in the zone some more. i was here and there but the best when i'm shooting and not even knowing. It's hard to do and it's like zen mind tricks but i heard the classical music while i was shooting. When your standing there all you hear is the wind, your breathing, and whats on your mind. If your mind isn't even thinking about the actions your doing, thats the ideal. But when your worrying about 'ok, i shot a 9 last time i've gotta do better.' and you don't. Empty the mind, know your equipment will do you right, and have no doubt. For doubt causes flinching, anticipation, stress. Doubt will kill u..
i just looked at my first 'cleaned' 300 yard rapid. that was dated 5/3/04.. it's been a year.. already??
My hands haven't trembled since playing the piano for people at academy graduation. We were at Washington high school waiting one of them classrooms, which had a piano. i haven't played in a while so, i could only do what i could. heck it's been a while since i played with one of them things..

in tech news.. apple computers are gonna use x86 chips from intel and amd?? what?!! The only good side is MacOS for windows? ahh man microsoft is gonna freak!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1.5 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 10min, no nap though

hmmz i'm pondering ear piercings.. i thought my pimp 512mb usb stick was cool. But this new puppy you can wear, as a necklace or earrings! woohoo!

Watched walking tall. it's a semi-old movie with the rock. The beginning says 'based on a true story', is really stretching it. It's one of those g-rated hero's main weapon is a wooden stick while everybody else totes machineguns and all that. it's ok

Also watched Collateral.. The film was good but the ending was kinda weak.

And lastly Lara Croft : Cradle of Life. This movie is about the search for pandoras box, hidden in africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro. REI has vacations or 'adventures', packaged deals. Summer trip anybody?

Now i didn't watch ALL of these in one day.

I was looking at Matty's Blog.. i wanna find out if my Chi flows through all 20 pathways. Matty it's ok, someone just stole your mojo.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: 30min

Whelp went back to that gun store and the rifle was still there, so i bought it. Woohoo! Pick up date is 6-11-05.. While at the store you always hear about the next generation gun laws that are about to be passed. The vote is on June 3rd. Two laws california is trying to pass: The first is that in order for a gun to be a 'safe' and therefore available gun to purchase, the gun must be able to imprint it's model, make, and serial number onto the bullet case microscopically. How in the world can they do that i have no idea. In essensce all firearms would be labeled 'unsafe' so, oh well you can't buy them!
The second silly law is that all bullets should have a serial number on them. It sounds like a drug law: It will be a new crime to be in possession of unserialized ammunition (i.e., loaded ammunition without serialized bullets in place) in a public place. Accordingly, loaded unserialized ammunition may not be transported or transferred to another party. Law enforcement and reloaders are NOT exempt. I just bought a bag of 1,000 68 grain Hornady's for my match shooting. i still have a case of 2500 180 grain .40's.. Serial number??? Someone needs to slap some sense into these people!
