Lately i've been addicted to two things..

Tater Tots.. Can't get enough ot them!

and

an online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) Called Maple Story (they only use Internet Explorer (ick!)) The ones i've seen require a monthly $$fee to play with others. This is one of the few thats free. Also it's easy and doesn't require much pc resouces.

It's a cartoonish visual MUD (Multiplayer User Dungeon) from back in the day (pre-internet!). You get quests, and tasks, group up with strangers or friends and go get your beat-down on. Theres character classes, skills, magic, pets, equipment, a trading system, everything the hidden Dungeons & Dragons fiend wants! Man i haven't played D&D in a while. My best marathon was 29-hours. i don't think i can do that here, unless i call in sick.. yeah...
It's like THERE.com (flashback!) but with violence! Speaking of which, who still has a there.com avatar??

My brothers birthday is this friday (cinco-de-mayo!) i suggest a sudoku death-match but i doubt anyones down.. Maybe Roz..

This ones on crack! Normal Sudoku is 3x3 squares with numbers 1-9. This ones 4x4 0-9 and A-F Sweet! i do have the answer, if your sick enough to do it and email me the finished puzzle.
Doo Yoo Sudoku? i don't actually.. heh.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 2 out of 10 (+1hr ot)
NapTime During Lunch: Zip

Yesterday:

Weather Conditions at Alpine Meadows: 3/3 Clear Blue Sky, Green Trees, Snow All Over, 70 degrees ..
Snow at Alpine Meadows: Snow everywhere, yet unrideable at noontime..

I ventured up to Alpine Meadows with My coworker J. Boncato. All psyched up to go, we get to a very empty parking lot at Alpine Meadows around 10am. We get to the ticket booth and find out that only 3 lifts are open, and another sign 'Advanced Riders Only'. So we do this, out of the three lifts, 2 are the best options, the third called 'Scotts Lift', went to a run called the Promised Land (As well as Northstar). As you ride this lift, right before you egress theres a sign stating if the promised land was open or not. Too bad i couldn't get a pic of it: "Promised Land is Closed." Heh
Anyhow so the first lift we head onto is the 6-man accelerator to the Summit. Once we got to the run, it was evident that the snow was gonna suck. We got to go a few more runs but at noon that was it. And that was that, end of the snow season for me.
It's Errie to drive by Boreal and see the whole mountain covered in White Snow, yet have nobody in the parking lots, none of the lifts moving, sorta ghost-townish..
They said it dumped 27 FEET of snow on the month of march.. All unusable. =(
So what to do now? What else is there to do? We headed towards Tahoe City and into the Casinos! We headed to the Tahoe Biltmore, and Cal-Neva (not to be confused with the similarly named Club CalNeva in Reno!). Cal-Neva was owned from 1960-1963 by Frank Sinatra. The cool thing about this casino is that it actually sits on the boarder between California and Nevada. The california side is a conference room / lodge, and the Nevada side is all gambling baby. Even the Pool is split in half!

So we ate some lunch ($1.99 breakfast special at the Biltmore!), and blew some money on the roulette table and eventually ventured back home.

And as for today.. ehh, workworkwork.

Time for some Toys..

The Home Marketplace has this neat PB n J Spreader. Made of silicone, it's cool for such combos as Mustard and Mayo.. PB n J..

From the silly folks down under. The Scarpar. For those who want to snowboard / skateboard / mountainboard but has no snow / hills / dirt to play in this is the soon-to-be-released toy out there. Just imagine it as two belt sanders powered by a lawn mower engine placed inbetween your legs. In the video section you can watch the guy seriously own the berm / jump. OWN it!

One last item:

For those who LOVES to read. The Bibliochaise from Nobody & Co in Italy. I've got a few snoopy coloring books to fill one or two of those slots.. woo!

i'm dying..

i have this disease..

Yesterday i felt it surge thoughout me..

There is a cure and it's at a specialized place.
It is:

Yeah baby! i had to have a 'mental health day.' And hearing Northstars closing this sunday i had to enter the promised land one last time this year.

Weather Conditions at Northstar: 3/3 Clear Blue Sky, White Flocked Trees, Blinding White Snow ..
Snow at Northstar: Soft Snow till the afternoon then it got icky slushie.

i poked around asking what was going on with Northstars closing this sunday. And some said that alot of the emergency personnel were on contract and it's expiring. Then theres the foreign students on visas that are probably expiring. Either way i think it's about done for them. Riding around, even though there were tons of snow everywhere, the more 'riden' parts started to show some soil. Also at around 1:30pm the line for the skii lift was all puddles and slush. Splish-Splash!Splish-Splash!
I did 2 more runs and decided to bail at 2:30pm, the run to the base was horrid. I couldn't do the kiddiehouse 'cuz i couldn't even get to it! =(
At least today i did my first rail.. Sweet!

i think i am cured..

for now..

Dood..

Usually how my 'snow' season works is after the snow madness subsides, i head on up for blue sky, white snow and smooth drive. So this year is a late one for me, i guess it's so late that Northstar decided 'extend' their season to close on April 23!!@! What the ??!!?

Soo much snow.. Soo little time!

Yesterday was a fun day, Work was ok. Everybody wanted out since it was good friday, so people sped on through.

Afterwork got home and got ready to go to the Cobb's Comedy Club in the North Beach on the moto. Hung out with Paul, Christina, Sherwin and Bertos. We ventured to seek the inspiring anecdotes from Comedians Sheng Wang, Tina Kim, Kevin Kataoka, and Headliner Dat Phan, in the "Far East-er Comedy Show".
Shen Wang is a Chinese guy that was pretty mellow and cool. Tina Kim's a Korean with her Asian Flower Princess jokes. Kevin Kataoka is a Japanese dood with serious deep though. And Dat Phan (yes, pronounced "Dat-Fan") is a Vietnamese guy who loves his roots and parents.
All 4 are americanized asians who have the view of both sides of the world. So they can see the transitions and challenges that bring onto traditional parents with modern children. Each had their ethnic jokes, except for Kevin Kataoka. Mr. Kataoka is from the bay area so there in it's own has alot of material. It was a pretty good show. Click here to see some material from Dat Phan.

Today i did useless stuff. I'm playing Call of Duty 2, and this game is silly. It's comedic is the way i describe the game. Theres parts of the game where your tasked to do certain things, like snipe, call artillery coordinates, drive tanks, shoot cannons / anti-aircraft guns. These tasks come at certain parts of the game and it becomes kinda like a mini-game within the game. One of the bad things of the game is you can't really die unless you, stand on a grenade, or bum-rush a tank. You can bum-rush 6 baddies, get shot up, yet still overcome them. So the game brings suicidal tendencies. 'cuz if you rush to a certain area, there aren't as many enemies that 'pop' up. So what i do now is flank the 'main' area as much as i can and see these people pop up and run away from me basically and get zapped. 'cuz they're programmed to run to a certain spot and wait for u to interact. I like these script-linked games, which also lead you to areas. Your running and running and then theres a wall, barbed wire, or better yet the 'invisible wall' in which you've gone the wrong way. It's silly.

I also spent the day battling my ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0. It's a TV tuner thats connected to a VCR that i lugged to my room. I wanted to transfer to DVD. Fluffielady also has some super old school tape stuff that she wants preserved so i found the TV Wonder on sale and went for it. It worked fine till today. If i record and save it saves as a Zero KB file. Or if i save and it does, it shows a 1/2 second loop for the whole length. This blows! Silly software issues! Fire the whole software team and outsource it! heh. So now my new task is to figure out what to do with this situation. ugh.

And now for some good news. Just came back from the R&G Lounge and found out that my Grandma Ma is out of the hospital and doing well.. Wooo!

NapTime During Lunch: 16min

Hmmz, *if* i woulda gone to Lick-Wilmerding High School (At $8000 a year back then, now it's (holy!) $25,700! for 2005-2006 For a Non-Profit??!!), i might have gone to MIT. And hanging out at MIT i coulda been one of these cats that has made the ultimate tool! THE SPOON! Not just any old spoon, one that measures temperature, acidity, salinity, and viscosity! Mmmm Viscus Ice Cream action.. yum..
Oh well, talk about cashmoney! No Spoon For U!

In other news, Delilah has new shoes! At 92377miles she now sports Bridgestone Potenza G 009's.. Oooo, I figured the RE750's were due to be replaced. Also since each tire had a spike in it, and a 50$ rebate from Bridgestone, i might as well go for a new set. The old ones were almost to the wear line. The G 009's are one notch lower (in class) from the RE750's. The G 009's gain longer life, lower road noise, better snow (heh) and rain traction but loses a touch of handling. Throughout the whole life of the RE750s, i don't think i've ever screetched the tires (by turning while speeding). I know i have with the Nitto 555's and the Stock Eagle GA's. I think i've only had the RE750's for 30k miles. I haven't visited Tim Tomas of TomasMotorSports in a year and a half i think. The last time i was there was for a check engine light, Delilah had a cylinder misfire (Ooo!), but before that it was to install my Neuspeed 28mm rear swaybar. My old Porterfield R4-S brakepads still have alot of life in them, ditto for the ECS Cadmium Slotted Rotors. I think when i reach 100k miles i'm going to get Delilah a Coolant Flush, BrakeLine Flush (Mmmm ATE SuperBlue), and a Fuel Filter replacement.. Hmmmz. I did talk to them about the poor fading colors and they all agreed that these VW's never had a clearcoat applied on them. Oi how much is that?

NapTime During Lunch: 29min

One of the many items on the ToasTy Approved List involves The North American High Pressure System. Usually it's absent till spring / summer / fall. See what happens when it takes a vacation? Last i heard it's rained 37 out of the past 47 days. Since i'm a die-hard fan of Ebay. I tried to find an Ark for the impending 40days n 40nights of rain. Unfortunatly Ebay Motors didn't have any on sale, everybody musta got one before i could. =( Let's hope my home being on high ground stays. Since i've banished weather.com, i now hang out at two weather spots: Intellicast.com and weather underground.com. It's amazing how many sites take info off of weather.com. Which equates to wrong info to everyone! At least these two sites show more detailed stuff that a weather-fiend like me needs to know. Mmmm Milibars and kilopascals, yum!

And now for some more sad news..
Is this for real?

So, is Texas part of Mexico now? Or was mexico sucked into the U.S. that they can vote for our presidents?
All i can say is be afraid..

NapTime During Lunch: 23min

Man the weekend blew by. Both Fluffielady n i did absolutely nothing, well, we cleaned the garage a bit (woohoo!) and little house things but other than that we did nada. Especially yesterday, i did absolutely nothing that, i forgot to even take a shower (eew!). Man i didn't even know until i woke up and was wondering why my hair wasn't fuzzy!

Anyhow today at work i like it how my customers see court as a hassle. "It takes too long," "i'm only here to have a future date set," "why can't i get a better deal, i'll do the 1 year in county but no-strike! (deal was: 1 year county with 1-strike vs. 16months in prison with no-strike)," "man i have alot going on in my family and i don't have time for court," "if i take the deal i still hafta come back? But if i don't take the deal then do i still need to go to court??," and the best "i don't want 2 years in prison (the guy is in for possession of drugs for sale. Sentence, if convicted, 3,4,5 years). Theres murderers, people with gun charges, they all do 1 year in the county, how come i can't?"

all i can say is.. Dood..

Might as well let the illegals come on in.

Random tidbit of the day: the human brain uses an average of 10 watts of electricity. My clients probably 2-4watts, or at sometimes none at all!

Oh two more bits:
I just saw a mentioning of this webpage Zillow.com and it's pretty cool. Punch in your home address and it'll show you the cashmoney your house is worth. I dunno how they factor in differences in home prices of each home but it's pretty cool.

Second thing is called the WhyCry analyser. It's currently sold in britian (thats why it's analyzer is spelled with a 's') for about $115 USDollars. They'll ship it international! I know a certain gadget-fiend would like one.. heh

NapTime During Lunch: 35min.

Ahh yesterday was somehow noob day at my court. Noob vs. noob, they did pretty well, the neat thing is to see their enthusiasm and dedication. I'll wait a bit and watch them turn into bitter, jaded, 'yea-yea-whatever-uh-huh-ok' types. Welcome to the real world!

i'm going to place weather.com on the ToAsTy Unapproved List. Lately it's been giving me false info, i coulda shot the past two months (yes i skipped this month because of 60% rain which never came). When it has a low probability it hits, when theres a high probability it doesn't. The best one was March 5th, 100% chance of rain was predicted for the whole day of march 5th when i looked it up at the evening of the 4th. Next day comes and it's partly cloudy / partially sunny for the whole day! Dood.. Screw these hippies. Final straw came when i'm looking at the dopplar radar 6am right before heading off to work. it showed specks of green bits scattered around the bay area, i decide to take the moto and once i get to 280, it's raining the whole way, the site predicted 40% showers. Weak! Their weather guages must be all clogged up or outta whack! Now i've gotta look for another reputable site, ugh!

Whelp today we sold our souls and got a 30-year fixed mortgages. Bloody crazy! it comes out to be a grand more (dah!). At least our house is appraised at $725k (lordy!). I smell rates are on the rise, if it goes too fast and if it goes for too much then bad things will happen. It's all about the deductions! We'll be ok, it's gonna be a while till my project space gun is built. Still though, i dunno if we can afford kids. *sadness*

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 4 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: lets just say a 'while'

More Random Bits:
-Man this spring forward crap is killing me! i woke up all discombobulated n outta wack. I also got sick of riding in the rain so much that i took my car in for once! scary! And tommorrow is slated for 90% rain.. ugh!

-Yesterday was pretty cool chillin at Vicks for J n Sherwins combo birthday. Pictionary was cool, i won the poker game by serious luck (thanks for the lunch money!), foodz was yumz. Good times! Next birthday party is mine (doodoo), i think it'll be soduku deathmatch! Or team soduku action!

-It seems that i can only do the 4 or 5 star (level of difficulty, more stars = more complicated) soduku puzzles. the 3 star ones are the hardest for me to complete.

-I got my helmet camera! now i'll need some mounts and more videos will come! Wooo!
