Wow these extended warranty things do work. The in-laws bought a bed for us when we bought the house 4 years ago. It was on sale from Macys 50% off too! A Simmons World Class Queen size with a 4" memory foam plush top. The saleslady sold us on the extended warranty, it was only 50-100$, for a 10-year, i think. Its a Cadillac of a bed, and was pretty good until both of us started to feel sunken into the foam pad. Now there are 2 distinct grooves where we lay and a hump on the middle. This memory foam has memorized us alright. So we call macy's, they came and the guy looked at the bed, saw the grooves and asked how long have we had this bed? Its hosed. So the ball is on macys court and we shall see what kinda tomfoolery will resort from this.

Today after work i went to the dentist and the filling is in limbo status. When i brush, its sensitive near that wisdom tooth. The dentist actually started tapping on it and asks 'does this hurt' it felt like he was mining, but no real pain. So it'll be as is till next month and hes thinking of changing the filling into whatever polymer now to a silver one. All the years he makes fun of me when i sit on the dentist chair always saying 'so we're here for the wisdom tooth extraction?' and now the tooth isn't working for me, now he wants to save it. Dood..

Yesterday got a haircut and ate dindins with da familia.

Today i found a neat add-on to Firefox called Add-art it uses AdBlockPlus (anad blocker) and replaces those sidebar ads and banners into slivers of artwork. Not only do you see if some links are real or not, but its pleasing to the eye. Me likes these add-ons, it makes surfing a lot easier.

Roaming the Peninsula today.

We were supposed to do some things here at home, but that was done yesterday: Some drop offs, some checks deposited etc. etc. So today we ran off to Foster City to Drop off some more, and to pick up my oil pan from Brian that i forgot from a while back. Seeing how Delilah is 60miles from 100k and the Moto is 150miles from 32k, dino oil shall flow soon. Went to drop off and pick up at Belmont and i managed to see a deer just standing by the road munching on grass.

Hello Fuzzy Deer. I pulled over and it didn't care what i was doing 20 feet away.

Did our thing around the hills of Belmont and went to Palo Alto to see a girlie with big eyelashes n her parents. Ate at the Sushi Haus by Stanford, it's pretty fresh n good, just a little pricy.

Hung out with them and roamed the Stanford Mall, this would be my 5th time there, it's still the same, but with lots of doggies, well behaved ones at that. I like the parking garage where everybody is stalking people walking to their cars. If you go up to the second floor, one whole side is void of cars. I don't get it, is 1st floor parking prestigious? Do you get bonus points? Bourgeois land? Theres floors too.. jeez.
We floated about there and then off to their haus. Chris is a Gamer and i got to fiddle with the drums on Rock Band. They really need that game for the Wii (slated maybe for june22?). The only thing i don't like about the drumming, is if you do extra beats, it counts against you. The foot pedal is hard to master in conjunction with the drum. Beh! Thanks for the block rockin beatz. Tis fun!

Fluffielady and i roamed off to Devils Slide and beyond to see whats up, try different things, and at least move around. She was feeling for some clam chowder or chinese so i roam around yelp and find a place called Barbaras Fish Trap at Princeton by the sea.. Princeton By the Sea is where the Half Moon Bay airport as well as the marina. The food is good, Fluffilady had the BOWL of clam chowder feeds 4, and its made without dairy products. I had the crab sandwich and it was pretty fresh n tasty. It takes cash only and some fish items are $25+.

21-Pic Stitch of the Marina at Priceton By The Bay.
We strolled around, but theres nothing much to see, just eateries and the view.
Fluffielady wanted to see more of this shanty of a town and the area that we were at was a mix of Industrial as well as residential. We saw the half moon bay yacht club and wonder if that sign was for real. I didn't take the pic of the sign and storage area but these 'yachts' were uh, the paddling type.

This sign is HUGE. It makes me just wanna park there. heh.

Came back, did some errands, loafed about, checked out the new bridge that connects to the devils slide tunnel. Looking good.

I had an interesting dream involving a mash of reality and gaming. All i remember was being in a water balloon fight. And in order to get your balloon, there was an icon of the said balloon above my head filling up with water. Once its ready you can grab it physically and chuck it to your hearts desire. That dream came outta nowhere.

I had to dump my Hyphy Juice Bottle, the oldschool Nalgene for a BPA-free Nalgene Everyday. Oooo! Maybe this may cure my Alzheimer's. But my pimp Nalgene, what am i to do with it? Its usually sitting here next to the computer, ready to be drank. I think it should be ok, it doesn't go through the rapid heating and cooling as my work Nalgene, which i hear was one of the ways to get BPA leaked.

This is where the holy knight in Indiana Jones says: Chooose Wisely..

and with the bad economy and everybody being part of the broke folk possee, this is the ultimate burger mod:

Man things are getting bad, even people are stealing grease for bio-diesel!

The neat thing of netflix is i can create auxiliary accounts and with that i can set split dvd usage. Right now Fluffielady gets 2, while i get 1 total. Since being fried from daily video watching from college, i've now resorted to watching anime.
Anime is a funny thing, some cartoon come with hidden adult complexities. For children it's robots, transforming, lasers, missiles. For adults it's things like interracial (and interspecies) relationships (Robotech series), reason to exist, to belong (Ghost In The Shell). Alot of anime goes to the effect of 'love conquers all' (Escaflowne, Macross, Mai Hime). But the current line of anime that i'm on goes to the twisted, thats the latest style of japanese storylines. Usually it involves children in twisted situations.
I've finished one series called Elfin Lied, its quite gory with lots of blood n limbs flying. From what i understand it, its a group of girls who have been infected with a virus that gave super human powers, and the purpose of the virus is to take over the human race. A secret agency has a few of these girls and are experimenting on them, usually with torture of sorts. Anyhow one girl runs away but gets amnesia. To the government controlled entity, if a supposed super weapon runs away, it has to be 'taken care of'. Well the girl falls into the company of this guy and girl and are taken into their house. Both the runaway and the guy have suppressed memories of their childhood and slowly it comes back. Its a series about lost young love, hate, pain, and regret. It was ok, but the ending was too fast an too weird.
Now i'm on a series called Gunslinger Girl, and its these bionically created kids, controlled by some secret agency. The kids are used as assassin tools and its about being a child, yet, be professional killers. The kids are paired with 'big brothers', secret agents monitoring and supporting the children, but their awkward at raising them. Some of the agents see the youths as non-emotional weapons. Gunslinger Girl shows the emotional torture and wear on children and youthful desires. It also shows the different child raising styles of the 'big brothers' as well as the toll it takes on them.
Twisted, yet, interesting.

Man yesterday was a wild ride, but it was good times, good times! I didn't get home till midnight! My venture began at 7am, to a bowl of Frosted Flakes. I got Delilah out and roamed off to Sacramento to do a ultra-mini 10-year (!?)College reunion of sorts. Well not really, it was just that a few peoples were meeting up and fluffielady and i were close by (107miles away, close enough). We find out that with the previous days of blazing heat that Sacramento was to be around 97 degrees and fluffielady wasn't feeling the heat. If its hot and theres air conditioning, its ok, but no-AC = *burning noise*. So she opted out of the road trip.
I get to Sacto and meet up with Eli (its been 2 years, i think) , Jen (since 96!) and Ian (5 years!). Things were still the same, except out weights and hair. Well the shenanigans were the same. I thought we were going to a Pacific Rim fair in Sacto. Nope, we're going to South Lake Tahoe, 'cuz jen has never been there. Ok, sounds good. Eat some Waffles, no chicken though (Roscoe's), and with that comes, Panos,Polehanging, Drank, and the usual tomfoolery.

On highway 50, theres many places to pull over and you can sorta get down to the American River. 9-Photo Stitch, 192 degree view. Its a bit rocky. The weather was a record setting 82 degrees! Oooo!

10-Pic 190 degree Photo from the Lake Tahoe Rec Area.

5-Pic 192 degree of the same, except with wet feet.

17-Pic 274 degree view of Zephyr Cove. It was pretty packed with tons of peoples there. The only beach to have a bit of inhabitants.

Hanging Out at Zephyr Cove. Hanging out with these guys felt like nothings change. Jen still beats up Eli. Ian and Eli have that certain attraction that only those two would have, the love is still strong since our college days. Thats a good thing.

So we roamed a bit, shopped at the ultra small outlet, had a few slices of Carmel Apple with Peanuts for lunch (?). Gambled at Harrahs, Harveys, same difference. Had a shot of Cabo Wabo Reposado, it wasn't that good to me. Kinda choppy tasting, not smooth.
After the drink, headed back to Folsom to Mikuni's for sushi, since everybody is now a sushi nut and hungry like savages. At 8pm its still pretty full. They have a pretty good deal there, a 65$ platter, and theres 5-6 variants. Its worth getting it, and you can feed 3-4 pplz. The food is always good there and fast, and our waiterdood was pretty candid about what sucked and what was cool for the day. Too bad there wasn't any Mizu No Shirabe sake. =\
Anywho, got done about 10pm, and headed back into the city of fog, to wake up at 6:30 to go at it, into the working world.

A coworker today came in with her DS Lite with problems that she thought may have came from the R4 DS chip. I thought it might have been some odd firmware, so it was updated, but didnt' work. I tried her R4 in my DS and it did work, so i tried my R4 into her DS and it didn't. I had a feeling it was hardware, maybe the pins aren't touching, maybe the r4 contacts are bad. I was about to just shrug n say too bad so sad when i peered into the Slot-1 socket and saw 2 bent pins. Lovely, how do you fix that, with my ultimate weapon, the unbent paperclip. I have fixed so many things with the unbent paperclip that i have at least one on my desk. I kinda bent them back to a more respectable angle and carefully put the r4 in and ding! it works.

a better more prettier sunset yesterday.

Project Lush Closet is complete (sorta).

Built the bottom wine rack thats currently modular. It needs some color and thats it. The only problem i have now, is theres left over bottles of vino, etc. Someones gotta take care of them. Looks pretty good, it looks like how it shoulda looked like in the first place. I've also noted that i do not own a premium rum or brandy, hmmz. I've got at least 2 of every kind. While i do have 3 rums, Captain Morgan, Malibu, and 151, those are more for mixing. Hmmz, i need to empty some of these bottles before i get new ones. Grr..

This was yesterdays rendering project. A hacked Canon SD500 running a intervalometer script (timed shots). 1 hours worth taken every 30 seconds, pointed out the master bedroom window.

The silly sun hid behind the trees. Hopefully i'll get a good one, i just need a good sunset to capture it. I redid todays sunset and it looks quite better. It'll be done tommorrow.

Now to the Project house:

Isn't that a supersized wooden tool box!

Stained top shelf, it looks ehh, ok.

Glass rack, during fabrication.

Stained and semi-finished.

Now it's onward to the wine bottle rack system. its gonna be sweet. Funny how when all the alkies are pulled out, you see mostly my college collection.

I did notice that some of my stuff should just be taken out... in one gulp. Board games and vitamins are bonus items!

Happy Mommies Day!

We had a lil Waffle Making for breakfast with ancient-yet-still-sealed-nutella (expiration mar.2005), and it was still good!

Did some laundry and went ahead into our project wine closet:

Picture taken around noon, the fake ceiling was already chopped up and the flourscent lights removed. A new wooden ceiling was put in higher a few days ago, and the walls painted. Now we're going to install a new light fixture as well as making bits to fit wine glasses as well as a shelf for well, the top shelf stuff, of course.

Light installed and on, taken around 8pm

Things are going pretty well. We just need to stain the wood bits a little and the upper part should be all done up. Next will be the wine area..

i've also got another project that is rendering as we speak, and its taking forever to render! I've been trying every which way to hack my Canon SD450 to do things it shouldn't, and well it couldn't. So i turn to Fluffielady's Canon Sd500 and it works!

Who wants to go to a temple of doo? Isn't that kinda gross?

Fluffielady n in-laws roamed to the inner sanctum of Pacifica to sell a bit of goods accumulated through the years. I went to snap caps at the monthly casual shoot, it wasn't as casual as back in the day .22 palma matches. The shooter isn't casual, but the scorer is, sitting on a lounge chair right next to the shooter with the casual glance onto the spotting scope while sipping iced tea.
I went and chrono'd a few new loads:
Para P-16, 4.6gr. Titegroup, 180gr. JHP Montana Gold = 871.49 fps / 21.45 SD It shot ~6" high and slightly to the right (1-2 O'clock), 8-ring on a 25 yard bullseye @ 25 yards. 6 O'clock hold. This woulda been a minor power factor load @ 156(?!)

Para P-16, 4.6gr. Titegroup, 180gr. Lead RNFP Bear Creek = 960.17 fps / 13.15 SD This shot 7-8" high and slightly to the left (11 o'clock), 7-6 ring on a 25 yard bullseye @ 25 yards. 6 O'clock hold. Major PF @ 172.

S&W 686 Federal Hi-Shok, 147 JHP +P+, 971.63 fps / 27.45 SD Slightly high (9-10 ring) with a 6 O'clock hold on a 25 yard bullseye @ 25 yards. PF-142

S&W 686 125gr Lead Bear Creek RNFP, 4.2 Gr. HP-38. 708.48fps / 36.85 SD. Center Hold, shot a little low (9-10 ring) on a 25 yard bullseye @ 25 yards. PF-88 (hahaha)

Lead flies faster than jacketed, now my new conundrum deals with the para. I either need a taller front sight, or file the rear sight down. The Rear sight is bottomed out already. Oi, more crap n go through, all in the name of hitting the middle.

Da in-laws have been working a bit on modifying the haus a little. I need to take pics, doh!

Over at the Consumerist, they ask a simple question. What kind of USDA Beef does Taco Bell use? Taco Bells answer seems to be something to the effect of 'its usda grade'. And reading from the interesting user comments i've learned that theres 8 grades of USDA Meats. Also USDA ratings is optional. I understand that for steaks and cuts, the grades are important, but for ground beef it isn't as much. Still you would like to know what taco bell uses, wouldn't you? My new obsession with tacos continues.

1. USDA Prime
2. USDA Choice
3. USDA Select
4. USDA Standard
5. USDA Commercial
6. USDA Utility
7. USDA Cutter
8. USDA Canner

P.s. I remember back in my college days, of riding my bike around campus and a few times going around the back of the dorm dining hall, seeing discarded boxes labeled 'for human consumption only,' WhatDaHeckDoesThatMean?

Dream: This one is more action movie styled.

I dreamt that i was in a 'training' where it was located at a power plant. The training involved a bunch of us with rifles loaded with 'paint bullets' and all the gear. The mission was something to the effect of 'there are signs of a pending attack on the power plant, protect the plant from terrorists / attackers.' Sure, so one team plays the baddies and we play the goodies and off we go. Lo and behold the baddies were in on it for real and were shooting with live ammo. So we run around and people are starting to take hits, but we didn't know if it was real or not as we hear of the skirmishes on the radio. I see a few baddies and i engage, next thing i know i get shot in the shoulder and i go down. The baddies think that was that for me, but i creep off, use my cell, since i can't on radio and look for live ammo. I find a good guy and he looks at my would and tells me, that they have some armor piercing stuff thats real bad, he saw one guy take it in the heart and that was that for him. Count yourself lucky, riight.

Weak..
6hrs, 2minutes, 44 seconds: the time it took for AVG 8 to scan 1,719,600 'objects' on my 5 partitions spanning, 3 hard drives. Nothing serious found, just things that spywareblaster put in place and AVG thinks its something.
It reminds me of back in the day trying to do a defrag on a 10gig with the OS on it. Took about the same amount of time i think.

Ok, i'm all-in.. Screw it, the past few times i've been moping around not shooting much pistol nor rifle. So now i'm gonna go for it, i'm aiming for the high master. Its been 3 months since i last shot the match AR:

200 Yard Slow Offhand: 187-1x
200 Yard Rapid Sitting: 90 (oh lordy)
300 Yard Rapid Prone: 91-1x (even worse)
600 Yard Slow Prone: 99-5 (stupid 9)
Total: 467-6x (sadness)

And it shows. At least i'm still in the 470 range, which i consider it like maintenance shooting, shoot just to keep a skill level barely afloat. If i was to do that, then theres no reason to shoot high power at all if, all i hit is the same score. I need some sort of evolution, growth, lust, desire to go at it. Before it was kinda easy, scores just kept going as you get more comfortable and theres an attainability to it. I must go for it in the same way to go for the High Master Class. I was talking to some of the other shooters, and some see it as an actual competition, where you must outshoot others. I see it as personal growth, if you shoot in the 420's theres no way you can go after someone in the 470's in an instant. Theres an evolution to it.
So i've gotta practice at home at least a few times a week, and i need a different style of rapids. I used to own on them, but i went for this different technique of breathing and it has worked for my groups but not for my scores. My rapid groups are beautiful, tight groups, but they're hitting at the wrong place. Guessing where they go is the hard part. One weirdness was on one of my last slow prone shots, i started getting vertigo while looking through the sights. The post was fixed under the target, but the rear aperature was moving all over. It was both bizarre as well as hypnotizing, somehow i decided to pull the shot and it was a 10. I haven't had one of those oddities in a while.

Got home, cleaned the AR, and punched some holes in a wall.

The bright glow is from the TV. We bought these sconces from illuminations, right before they skipped outta stonestown. Finally more stuff on the walls, i still feel that the walls around the house are barren, except for the computer / loader room.

Nothing like an Old High School Rifle Team Photo to the left, some bullets and a wise saying behind the reloader. I hear that this particular picture isn't sold anymore. I like the daisys hanging off their ghillie suits.
