Doh my last post I must have been in a tired stupor. .35billion dollars only equals a dollar per person, my bad.

Dream:
I was hanging out at a school rally. It was so huge and packed that it got rediculous.

dream:
It's another chase me around dream.
Fluffielady and I were in somewhere like a mix of London and vegas. Lots of brick, yet lots of neon lights as well. We were being chased by some thick skulled bald headed dood. Our wits is what kept him from finding us. The only thing I remember was at a corner of this building was this weird entrance. It's all glass and outsiders can see in but when inside you can't see out. We run up the stairs and there's a window that opens to the outside onto a ledge. As we hang on the ledge the goomba goes up the stairs. We close the window and I see that you can come back down to the street, as we do that the goomba is lost as to our whereabouts.

End of the world:
i scribbled way back about the financial madness that was looming, and now it's here. And with this whole financial bailout plan coming REAL fast, it feels like one of those zeitgeist moments. Zeitgeist is one of those conspiracy theory movies where the underlying theme is control of the masses. It is broken down into three parts, control by religion, control by fear and control by money. I'd watch it just to see whats up, it puts a different spin on things, and makes you wonder.

Like, how can you draft a $500 billion - 1 trillion plan in a week? Thats way to fast to figure out whats wrong with several failing companies and delivering a fix to it. Whats the underlying secret squirrel deal here? Someones gaining a whole lot here.

Did some laundry, and started setting up for my wifi migration. Our house only has 3 phone jacks, one in the kitchen, one in the master bedroom and the last where the kiddo is going to be at. I don't like the idea of 2.4ghz waves flowing around the kid at its strongest spot, so i'm going to relocate it to the garage.
I find a location right next to the door and seek out how to do this. It's quite easy, for a 1-lined house, most homes are wired for 2 lines. Near where my mail slot is, is where the phone wiring meets. I study that and see where the main line is hooked up to. I bought a 50-foot cat-3 3-pair line (for 3 lines if i wanted) for 8$. The hardest part is stripping the wires, since i don't own a wire stripper, i used wire cutters to gently strip. I routed the wires and stapled them to the side of the basement and to where its all going to meet. This stage is complete, i've looked at the dsl modem, router and surge protector and their all wall mount doable. Now it's time to plan..

Dream:
Fluffielady and i were hanging out at the Chinatown projects, except it was more scuzzier and all brick. It has metal grates when you leave and ghetto kids were running back n forth from it. We later learn that theres a low income school one floor below this persons place. So we hang out till midnight and had to go. Well there were still ghetto kids roaming around, so i open the door and they are their usual obnoxious selves, even at midnight. There were even kids on motorcross bikes going up and down these metal grated pathways and stairs!
We leave and somehow we rented a moving truck. I wanted to talk to someone and fluffielady decides that she can't wait and hangs out in the drivers seat. The people i was waiting for were constantly busy, so i decide to go (maybe the waiting is related to the restaurant that i just went?). Right then some car decided to be a rally racer drifted right onto our rental. It did minor scratches but thats enough to tick off fluffielady. I get into the truck and we drive, but fluffielady doesn't know where to go, it is SF and she doesn't like driving in SF. Somehow at an intersection that we had the green light, the light turns green for cross traffic as well. Its all green lights, we make it across and fluffielady is saying that this is why she doesn't drive in SF. I pull out my iphone and tap for directions to return this boat truck and thats all i remember..

Today
I did a little dance with my iphone to update it to 2.1. What i tried to do (theory) did not work as planned (reality), so you must yield and overcome (Tao, Ch.22), be dynamic and go with the flow. Bah, it sucks but i'm used to reloading software, just trying to remember what was installed is the challenge.

Fluffielady and i hung out at Juliana's 1st berfday party at fuddruckers. It was cool, hung out with a few peoples. Chat it up a bit. Being that its the second time i've ever been to a fuddruckers, the food was not bad for its price.

After the party, we ventured to look for some kiddo stuff. With our babyshowers, we accumulated massive amounts of Carter's kid clothing. Yet i've stumbled upon web articles involving most of their clothing line. It's a 'rare skin reaction' that doesn't sound so rare. Our solution was to purchase some iron on patches that'll cover up the tacky feeling tagless clothes. In the process of hunting down such patches at Jo-Ann's, i manage to find this:

Jo-Ann's fabrics has to be hip on these youngins. It's a Cross Stitch Ornament that you do yourself. It reminds me of those times when my brother and i go ragging on each other by saying 'yo mama', 'no! YO mama!' heh..

Went to Target and Babys 'R Us, looked for some goodies. Met a coworker who just had triplets. He has a nifty triple person stroller that has a steering wheel since its so long. Got some kitty cat food, returned a few child potties, how many does one need?

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.3 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium / Long

-Removed and replaced the Bottom Bracket on the Downhill bike. The bottom bracket chamber was pretty clean, not bad at all for all those times riding dirty. And it was easier to remove and install with proper tools! What a difference it makes!

-Cleaned up the kiddo's room a little. Trying to line all the ducks in a row..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.5 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Short

You know it's the end of the world when your neighbor is putting on his surfboard on the roof of his car as your installing the car seat on your car. Eminent doom is near!

-Fixed the broken spoke, as well as another with a messed up nipple. Road bike is ready to roll. Tomorrow i should have time to replace the bottom bracket on my downhill bike.

-Busted out the dremel tool and took off a few bits of hard plastic on this iphone case. Now my stubby fingers can reach, the charging connectors can connect, and the stock headphones have more room.

Man i'm tired, it's early to bed today.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.5 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium

With two bicycles out of commission, i ride the last of my 26"ers, the Downhill bike. As i ride, i remembered that i haven't replaced the bottom bracket yet. So the ride up was crunchy, which was ok by me.

I replaced two spokes on the Rolf Road wheel, but i think i need to replace a third one. Then the road bike will be back! I don't like the Rolf hub, it's this funky weird design that looks more fashion then function. I could see future episodes with broken spokes because of it.

My brother came over with his new toy, the FN FNP-9. He just picked it up monday and came over to clean it (the manual says so), then shoot it, then clean it again. Riiight. So he did. We shot 2 boxes off and its a decent gun. It shoots point-of-impact, so it's slightly low for me.
Pros:
-Single Action at 25 yards was pretty impressive, two handed or not.
-Recoil isn't that bad, it's a snap but not much kick.
-Takedown is super easy, alot like a sig. Comaes apart into 4 pieces.
-My brother likes the fact that it came with a bit of accessories that FN is having a promotion on.
-Single Action is pretty good and crisp
-Look from the top of the firearm and you can see brass! Oooo
-Double action is sig smooth, pretty good for a metal on plastic gun, but theres a few exceptions (see Cons).

Cons:
-Trigger Reset is a bit far away.
-Double Action is REAL far away and it's mad heavy! Try it one handed, all i was thinking was 'pull, pull, pull, pull, come on, pull, pull, what the!, pull pull, bang!'
-The Mag release is a bit too flush to the frame, which rises to meet it. Quick mag changes will be a well learned skill.
-When there is no mag in the gun, the mag release looks and feels like it's an ambidex one, but it's not.. =\
-i hit the decocker by accident, it's easy to do.
-Theres no groove or cut outs for pulling out the mag on double feeds, wassup with that?

We both figured that if you can master the mag changes as well as the double action, you can rule any other firearm. i wonder if theres mods for it.

Quite a busy day today.

7:15am: Woke up to get ready for the NCAPOA pistol match.
8:30-10:15am: I did alright, screwed up a little on the hard sections. Some shots hitting low and out of the 2-point ring. Bah! The last two sequences were the hardest, single handed shooting with reloading and in a short time. Float home and changed to then float to:

11:30am:

Hanging in a suit, at the USS Hornet at the Alameda Naval Base.

It was a JROTC reunion with peoples from the class of 1935 to 2012. Wow 2012, talk about nooblets. Theres some history in this luncheon though. Saw some peoples, it was kinda cool, a little long, but kinda cool.

6:30pm-9pm: some of the crew came over and decorated the house.. Theres gonna be a party happening tommorrows! woowoo!

dream:
Lately I've been having these alien invasion dreams here and there. Probably something of the fact that a young one is arriving soon. In the beginning the aliens would coMe and everybody would freak out and run or defend themselves. Now the alien would come and everbody would wait and watch to see what's their next step. Odd isn't it?

rockhopper is off to the shop. Jeff at ocean bikes remembers selling that bike 12 years ago and is wondering if I'm schemeing to upgrade my frame. Sorry dood I like the older things. It's to take about 3 weeks.
After the shop I sliced up my hair. It's been a while.

30min bicycle chop shop. Of course the stem-handlebar is in one piece but hey, my goal was to strip it to the frame. Tommorrows it'll be off to the bike shop to see if lifetime warranty means just that.
I think its one of the last crome-moly frames before specialized went to 6000-series aluminum.

-Saw an old buddy to transfer some toys that i've been holding onto.
-Went to a red egg and ginger party for little Westley at the Hokkaido Buffet. The food didn't taste as good as it used to. It kinda had that central valley substandard flavor (msg?). Even the korean bbq spare ribs weren't korean, it was just grilled spare ribs. It tricks you when you bite into it.
-Fluffielady feels that the kid is in position, uh oh!

Yes, let the games begin..
Baby Shower #1, Fluffielady had a grand ol time. I on the other hand was giving a mini-tour of SF and i blame it on the weather. It seemed that everybody in SF decided to go out. From PacBell park all the way through golden gate bridge and even near the zoo, traffic and lots of it! Even those little used roads in golden gate park were packed.
Things are coming along, the bebe room is filling up. Good lord!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.5 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium maybe? I didn't check the time, heh.

Chillin at Pacifica City Hall.. woot!

We decided on a burrito run, but Graino De Oro was closed (at 7pm) so we headed to the next taqueria spot, Guerrero's Taqueria. It had a good sized line and people standing around waiting for their items. MMmm yumz!

Yesterday we got the crib from a very gracious coworker. He has a 17 month old and is transitioning to a big boy bed, etc. We got the whole shabang, what an extremely nice dood..

One more on the list of items destroyed by my hands: My 1996 Specialized Rock Hopper Frame. And i did it by jumping a curb. I wonder if lifetime warranty works for this..

It was workable, i just had to ride with a list to the right. So i've broken or severely dinged almost every piece of a bicycle, except for front derailleur, that's a hard part to break since it doesn't do much. The worst part to break is the stem, it connects the handlebar to the frame and without that, its bad, trust me..

later the day fluffielady and i floated to the farmers market. It was kinda small but i got some russian grandma made piroshkies (2 for $5)and some grapes. We picked a few bunches of grapes, and the mom and pop kept giving us more even thought we paid already. Then she asked about our baby and started to give us even more fruit. Man they got some pretty sweet fruits, a gangload for 3$. There was even a knife sharpening dood, i had My Religion sharpened for $5, it's only been sharpened once before since 1989!

Today we drove around, doing menial tasks, shopped a bit, rested for the madness to ensue in the following weeks. Our main goal today was 20 safety pins, these items were the hardest things to find. Target had them though, they heal all wounds.

I have now reached a level of 'shove it up to the man' that it's pretty cool. It involves my cell phone and my ancient plan. The ancient plan came with 4mb a month of data, which i never used on the trusty Nokia 6230. Now though, in emergencies, i have access! mwahahhaa!
