Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.25 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium

Yesterday i went to the dentist for a check up, the odd thing was once i scheduled my time to go in the week before, i get this dull pain in my jaw. It went away until yesterday, it comes back. What a perfect time to tell my dentist. So i do, and he finds that one of my wisdom teeth which had a filling on it, must have decayed off from around it. Lovely, so a reschedule for today to take care of it.
Well out comes the drill and with minimal drilling my dentist looks at me and says, have you felt and other pain other than yesterday and the week before? I tell him no, why? He tells me that the decay isn't wide but deep, so deep he can see the nerves. Hes always made fun of it being time for me to be unwisened, but never does it. Now its becoming more reality. Back in my youth i'd like to keep it all, but with it being real hard to keep clean, i'm not as sure anymore. Its only that one tooth thats bad, the others are ok, and i've focused on cleaning the back forever now. So he decides to seal it one last time, if it goes, then thats it. Its ok, my wisdom has been dwindling for a while now, and age has not made up for it, yet..

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.25 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium

Yesterday was kinda fun.
Got some groceries, got another algae eater, hopefully this one is cootie free. We noticed that the many feeder fish tanks were devoid of fishies. Dropped off the fish and groceries. So the aftermath of fish medicine n what not, a few others perished and we're back to 5 fishes. ugh. Our largest fish this bright golden one, looks all battle-scarred. Hes a trooper!
Onward to Pauls haus for a kiddie possee up. Kiddies a plenty! I had some practice with Octavius, hes so mellow. Pat,pat, pass the bebe!
For dindins we headed to K's and i had a hit of Mizu No Shriabe Ginjo Sake (Translation: Melody of Water), it was on the list of drinks to imbibe. It's pretty good for a sake, clear, watery looking. Its quite smooth thats not dry and has a slightly thicker than water feel. It feels flowery like a hint of rose or lavender first hits you. The best thing is that it does taste like water until it hits you like a Night Train. Good stuff good stuff. The sake, not the night train..

Our neighborhood cat is doing well, hes on antibiotics and after a few days of that yummy pink stuff, he can put some weight on his leg. Neato.

Todays gonna be quite a visual posting.

Waking up at 6am, i ventured to the north side of the city to walk along for the March Of Dimes for babies, a 6mile jaunt. Fluffielady ventured the opposite direction to Half Moon Bay. I arrive at 7:20am and nobodys is there, So i call Sherwin and he tells me the walk begins at 9am, registration at 8.. dood. So what to do, i roam for a little, then realizing that i'm probably gonna walk in this direction anyhow, i did what i've been doing lately, taking Panoramics.

23 Picture Panoramic taken by the boat docks near Fort Mason, the picture woulda extended to the left a bit more but somehow i missed a section of houses. doh!
Eventually we meet up and i meet a few of his extended familia, they all seem to be a nice bunch. The only problem is when we meet, the walk has began, and we were the last group. The planned walk goes westward toward fort point, under the golden gate bridge and then up the hill towards old letterman hospital (which isn't there anymore) to the palace of fine arts and back to Fort Mason. Our plan was to 'follow the masses'.

And the masses are off, hey wait for us! Its not easy following the masses when we're 1)last to start, 2)not going at speed, and 3)our possee was displaced everywhere.

7 Pic Stitch, First stop was passing the Presidio Entrance, and onto the beachway, a photo op.

Then we reach this bridge and by this time we've gained some distance. This whole area has been newly redone as a wetlands restoration, which is kinda neat to see the seagulls and streams. And with that a whole lotta doggies, runners, bicyclists, etc.

How long did we wait? I got this 33 Picture stitch AND i took other pics with Sherwins camera. It was ok, we were 1/4 of the way there. Wee!

We reach the Warming Hut, which we didn't need any kind of warming at all. So we hang out, or at least i do (The warming hut is the building way behind me). At this point theres a turn-around, but technically the course goes all the way to fort point. And at this turn-around were people handing out water (Checkpoint #3), we continue on.

A 16 Pic Stitch taken on a pier by the Warming Hut

We finally reach Fort Point and start the return course. By the time we reached Checkpoint #3, theres nobody, only cups on the floor with water and dust in them. Lovely, also 'following the crowd' isn't possible since they were long gone, so instead of following the route, we just walked back the way we came. We got back to Fort Mason and were the last of the folk to eat. Halfway through eating, it seemed like EVERYBODY just bailed. So we hung out, and the familia took a few packs of leftover food. It was like that..

One last 4-pic stitch photo, of the sunset. Todays weather was beautiful and warm. I moto'd to the walk with Jogging pants, a t-shirt and my blue technical jacket, and was fine (sorta) at 6:45am.

Whelp there went another good guy. After 32 years of hardly working, the rangemaster retires being in that certain position for 24 years. It was a hefty party, at the Basque community center in south san francisco, mainly O.G.'s and super O.G.'s were there. The people i knew happen to be in the back of the room rebel rousers. Lovely isn't it? Anyhow, we heard some interesting stories, many jokes and razzes. The guy is a good guy, his knowledge of firearms of modern and not so were pretty good. Also he reloaded as well as competed for a stint. George Knox was a happy fellow who had the patience to teach a dying art to those who've sometimes never handled a firearm.
As for me, 24 more years to go.

Ahh yea heres a few pics:

a 55 Picture Panoramic taken on twin peaks where the tour buses drop you off at. I was perched on the stone wall getting abused by the winds.

This is the monster 77 pic, which is the 55 from above and an additional 22 by moving southward to the stone wall next to the pay potties. It blended pretty well, with the focal movement.

48 Picture stitch, taken from the southern peak of twin peaks. Twin peaks actually has 3 peaks but the third isn't as prominent. Its a full 360 degree view.

Hmmz, where else can i go?

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.25 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium

12 Pic Pano Stitch out my master bedroom. 190 degree view it says..

I had some time after work to run around Twin peaks. I have 2.5 different panoramics, one at the tourist spot, which took 55 shots, i moved to the side and took an additional 22, and the Hugin Stitching program noted 'possible movement.' The other panoramic is from the top of the southern peak of twin peaks. I did a 55 pic pano stitch and it took quite a while to process. I will do the 77 pic stitch, i got half way and it's 10:30pm. I will resume tommorrow, i should leave it on all night but i don't think i need that much time. Maybe if it took 1.5 hrs to go halfway. The 55 should be nice, it's an actual 360 degree shot, hopefully.
One other thing i did, since it was blustery and windy was try to hover with my jacket over my head like a parachute. Yea, i probably looked like a dufus on the top of twin peaks hopping around but with the winds blasting and then slowing it only worked once. And that one time was a feeble slowing descent, which still worked for me. I don't think i qualify to hover, but slowing down on a jump was good enough. It was kinda cold as well. Hopefully tommorrow it'll be up.
I filled up at $4.19 for supreme, i missed the 15$ mark by 20cents. I don't think its something to celebrate though.

Today is a cleansing day.

Nothing like shrimp flavored ass kicking kung-fu ramen!

Today i was tempted to go ipsc, but when i woke up i didn't have the desire to go for it. So i did something rare, i cleaned my room. Yes i just heard a bunch of people faint and hit the floor but once in a while its time to clear some old magazines or empty boxes, etc.
I also used the last of the winchester small rifle primers on some 600-yard 80 grain bullets and on some 55 grain ballistic tips. I also cleaned up the reloader, that too is a once in a while deal where dust n crud start gumming up the primer loader bar.
I took a stroll to Classic Bowl and its mall area, man it's trashed, literally with garbage strewn about and cars left n right. I guess theres a chinese restaurant or a dim sum house there, its packed to the brim. Theres also an asian market but its named Manila Oriental Market (M.O.M. the insignia says). Its huge like Ranch99 but not as clean. Prices are about the same, cheap for asian stuff, not so for Jif peanut butter or Smuckers jam. I did get a back scratcher, ahh yea, and that kung-fu ramen. I think i used to eat that brand when i was little, i kinda remember the blue n white colors.
The best item i saw there was 'dead crab 3.99 / lb ,' don't you want live crab? how long was it dead? And whats rabbit fish?
Anyway, i went to the bakery, across from the supermarket, and got some Empanadas and Turon (filipino fried bananas wrapped in egg roll wrappers) and that was lunch.
Washed Delilah, the funny thing, is when i put the wax on, shes so faded that it doesn't look like theres any on. So i coulda left it on, wouldn't that be extra protection?
3 Loads of laundry was done friday, so i'm ready to roll. Who wants to fold mah clothez?

Today i roamed..

I felt like i was on a scavenger hunt of sorts today. I went to Tabor's Shooting supply in San Bruno for lead bullets. And they sold it at a decent price, 34$ for 500 38's and 43$ for 40's. Only problem is they don't have any primers. Nobody has primers, its such a rarity now, that its kinda scary. They did have Winchester Small Pistol which when i started to reload was 11$ a box of 1000, now they're selling for $40!!
So i head to Imbert n Smithers in San Carlos, they didn't have lead or cast bullets but they did have factory jacketed 100 round boxes. Not the same for bulk pistoleers. They did have Remington 7 1/2's, which i thought were extinct! But at $31.50 oi! So i talk some politics, and get a little discount for buying 3 boxes. Since the hot stuff now is California Assembly Bill 2062, where people need to register to buy bullets. And at a limit of 50 rounds a month, and pay ammo tax. What a waste. Well guns are ok to own via supreme court, ammo though is the new target for legislature. Theres a lead ban, and now an ammo limit going into the law books, i shoulda bought more stuff.
Thugs n gangsters rejoice!
In other sad news, the snow season is almost done, even though some places are still open, my past experiences say that its not worth it to flop around in the slush. So remember to loosen your binding bolts till the next season begins!

I found a nifty widget for myspace, Hi5 n orkut (what are those?) pages. You can race others in your friend list i suppose. Too bad my main social site is friendster, i hate the hassle of starting up another account, etc.etc.

Dream:

It had something to do with fighting a terminator-like being. It would come and try to attack in different ways and i had to be ready for it. The terminator looked like the one in part 2, but was a t100 and not all liquid metal. I figured if its mechanical, i can break it. Like most mechanical things.

Dream:
i dreamt that somehow a computer chose what kind of car i should own. What comes out is a 80's era Cadillac Sedan De Ville. Its a boat of a car but the nifty thing is its digital display. With my brother and someone else in the Caddy, we drive around but it had constant breakdowns. I mean drive one block and it dies for one reason, then another. Last thing i remember was watching the fuel gauge go from full to empty at a drop of a hat. At least it accelerated steadily for a V6. I also had to meet up with some people for a ride to college, which didn't make sense if i'm driving with people already.

3-Photo Stitch

I feel like running around going all mad on my digital camera now. MAD!! Panos! Gimmie Panoramics!

Picture day!

Matt N Jenny at Point Bonita with the Golden Gate in the Background

Today i hung out with Major Mucelli and his ROTC Brat pack for some basic Orienteering. Its not like back in the day style, run in the hills and tromp on the poison oak, but a more mundane style of exercise.
Captain Matt Cohen and his wife Jenny (Van) helped out. We hung out and mostly made sure the kids didn't roam off, we basically hung out in a pack. I got a tan, being the only one in shorts which was nice.
We were there for 3 hours or so and after the little nature hike was done us Alumni folk roamed to Point Bonita Lighthouse.
Last time i was there at Valentines, fluffielady and i met a metal door to the entrance. This time it was open, the neat thing about the place is an old rickety bridge that only 2 people at a time may be on.

Before i headed off, i found this image stitching program, i do like a good stitched panoramic. I still have my old photos of the panoramic from Sugar Bowl at my parents house. Its called Hugin Photo Stitcher, it does a good job aligning multiple points on recursive photos. Its so much better in a Panoramic then one pic.

Heres some other Point Bonita Panoramics:

Point Bonita facing East and South..

I likie the Panoramics.. I'll try to produce more when i'm roaming now.

Man it's nice outside today. Zero wind and all sun and blue sky. Headed out to pop some caps. Normally i stay till around noon, then head off to eat or whatever, but I ended up doing a few practice (thats what i call it) bulls eye shoots. Two handed, twice with the 686 and once with the Glock17 with 8lb trigger. Real Bullseye is 1-handed, maybe next time. I also need to try some handloads on it as well. 25-yards is good to see how your skillz are.

1st time 279-4x, used Federal Match 148gr wadcutters, group was low and to the right 4 o'clock, i had to aim a touch high at 6 o'clock
2nd time 281-5x, used Federal Premium 147 hydra-shock +P+, 6 o'clock hold, group was slightly low at 6 o'clock.
3rd time 259-3x, using Federal 147gr HST 9mm ammo, group was to the right around 3o'clock. Not bad for a POS plastic sights bulging.

Left the range around 2pm and headed to the shack, since i need lunch for today and for tommorrows little exercise. The line was at the door!
Since i labored so long n what not i decided to pull out some good old stuff:

Vintage!!
Looks like its straight out of the cellars next to the Chateau La'Tour 1906 Bordeaux Red wine doesn't it? It's not as old, only from the late 90's in my Fresno Days, probably in '97 from Costo, 12$ for a 24-pack case. Yep i still have a half dozen or so still, i found them in my garage a year ago and i decided to crack them open here n there. It tastes the same but 'smoother.' Kinda like my Emergency Cokes in Delilah, they taste like Mexican Coke, Mmmm smooth pure cane sugar!

Oh i forgot to mention that the outdoor that i post pics of here n there somehow broke / twisted / hyperextended his right leg. At first i thought he broke it, but after a few days, he gently puts weight on the foot when he wlaks, yet when he runs, he runs on 3's. Poor fuzzy kitty. There doesn't seem to be anything stuck on his paws and he can move it, as well as his shoulder, so it might be his elbow to forearm area thats messed up.

i keep forgetting to put his on the blog (dang Alzheimer's!) but my fishies as of a few weeks ago got cooties probably from the march 8th purchase of them from Petco. They have some sort of cootie where the fish get ulcerated, with blood visible under the skin. A few perished and looking on the net, there were a few solutions, with some said they're done for. The in-laws bought some meds at the pet shop and i used the whole dealio on the fishies. Most of the fishies looked like they were doomed, swimming lazily sometimes off kilter. But now with the drugs, they're moving around again. Silly Fishies!

Today we roamed about to hillsdale, i had a yuppie moment and bought a $19 Crate n Barrel froofroo metal orange juicer perched on delicate glass. At first it looked ok, but after purchasing it i knew 1) that was a yuppie move, and 2) i don't think it's going to last. I even asked the salesman if its sturdy, he tells me that nobody has returned them that he knows and hes a manager. Whelp, i chipped it when i got the first orange on it. Hows that for product testing. The guy tells me if its broken i have 90 days to return. Mwahhaa, i can't handle yuppie stuff, it dies the moment i use it.

Dream:
Todays dream involved being in a conference of somesort, but it was held at a city park and everybody camped there to attend. Fluffielady and i were there as well as the in-laws. And i remember folding up the taj mahal at the last day. There was also someone that i've talked to online but have never met until the conference. Ahh yea back in the IRC days meeting online people no matter which side of the states i was at.

Funerals are always a weird thing and it's influenced by the way its done. Some have messages of hope and life, others of remembrance and reflection. Today was a little of both.
Rest in Peace Philip, you were too young to go.

Dream:

i dreamt that i was in somewhere like a hong kong outdoor market. I don't know why, but i was carrying a Springfield M1A Rifle, which i don't own. So it was me and someone else and we were walking around the area. Since i was carrying a rifle slung on my back, the second person thought it would be neat to remove the upper reciever (which a M1A does not have) to show that we're not going to zap anyone. So we stroll around and what not and we decide to leave. So i ask the other person, wheres the upper reciever? He gives me a dumb look and says you have it. No i wouldn't ask if i had it, would i? Then he says, oh it's over there and starts to head home. At first i was confused and then i called him back. Over where? Its an outdoor market, theres stalls everyway you look, people everywhere, where is it? He has no answer, i told him he better find it or he'll owe me $2000 to replace it. So we go back and half of the stalls have walled themselves and the people have gone to sleep. So we're peeking in and our of peoples homes now looking for this upper. Nothing, i get pissed off, start cussing at him and tell him that he owes me. At that time he pulls out a upper reciever for a ar-15, asking if this was the one. No it's not, its for a wrong firearm. More cussing ensues.
I awaken.

Ahh yea, buying gas at a full $4.00 a gallon for the moto. I only racked up a $13, my highest for filling up the moto was $14.50. I remember in the beginning with the moto, $6 was how much it costed to fill up. Ahh yea
