Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime: None

Ugh, i gotz the snifflez.. boo!
This of course affected my Thursday league shoot

50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36minutes:
Prone: 100-5x 2nd clean
Kneeling: 91-1x
Standing: 69-1x (1 miss!)
Total: 260-7x

I had about 8-9 minutes left, i was shooting at a pretty good clip. There were a few shots i could have stopped and resetted. But that offhand miss sucked hard! The rifle just waved off into yonder as i was pressing the trigger..
Kneeling got better, i got more focused at the kneeling position which is good. All i need now is to better focus onto the offhand, or get rid of the sniffles.

I got an email about that Kingston 16GB 133x flash card. It seems that the 16 gb is not recommended for my camera, so they can't say anything about it. Can you say Weak?! Anybody have any 8gb 133x's to trade?

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime: Medium

Today i redished my rear wheel on the trek roadie. I think the driveside was too close to the center of the rim. Causing the chainline angle to be off and causing silly chain hopping sillyness. 1/2 turn of the nipples, lets see if that'll work..

I bought a Kingston 16GB 133x for the 7D and it writes and reads slower then the Standard Kingston 2GB (80x?). When the camera is started it takes some time (a few seconds) to figure out how many snapshots i have left. While the 2GB is instant. I just did a test where taking up the buffer of 9 shots it took 18.5 seconds on the 2gb but 1minute 34.5 seconds on the 16. Whats up with that?

I had 2 dreams as well:
1) I was teaching people either how to drive or shoot.
2) I just forgot.. dangit!

4:50pm

Headed out to Chabot today to pop a few caps with my brother and his possee. A Coworker called saying that he was going to shoot the high power rifle there at 11am, since i'm there i might as well do it. I've never shot high power at chabot before. We arrive around 9am to a mist of fog and quietness. When signing up the rangemaster tells us that if he can't see the 100 yard dirt berm, theres no shooting to be had. Lo n behold 10minutes later things clear up.
1)My M1 Garand is sighted in for 100 yards finally, and best 3-shot group was an inch! Too bad many jams, op-rod popping out, failure to feed keeps this rifle on the back burner. Unless i'm shooting an Alies vs. Axis match. It needs more grease the range guy said. How much grease does this thing need??
2)The Marlin 1894 .44mag lever action is sighted in a few inches low at 100. I thought they would be higher, but then it is a reduced load. At least it is a flat shooter.
3)The Para and Glock 21 are point shooters at 15 yards. Center hold to punch out X's.
4)I'm getting low on ammo! Yikes!

Around 11am i get a text message from that co-worker saying that he couldn't make it. Doh! I head to the 200 yard shack and find out they are delayed because of the fog and the 11am relay may start around noon. They didn't until 12:45pm. I had all the gear there and still did not feel the motivation to shoot it. I don't know why, i'm guessing it's lonely shooting it by yourself. Does that make me a social shooter?

Clean Prone

50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36minutes:
Prone: 100-8x 1st Clean!
Kneeling: 93-2x
Standing: 90-1x
Total: 283-11x

Notes:
1) I'm starting to like this indoor stuff, it's close and done relatively quick.
2) I'm starting to like this 6 oz trigger on this Feinwerkbau 2000 rifle, things are coming together.
3) I used to shoot what i called English Kneeling, where the front leg is extended outward in a sorta 45 degree instead of a 90 degree angle. The 90 degree angle is much stabler at this time.
4) 36 minutes for 30 shots is no joke, time flies, no time to dilly dally in terms of sighting shots. I had about +2minutes left..
5) Zen shooting is starting to return. I shoot best when not thinking of the shot. I start thinking of other things. But today it was mainly Vivaldi's 4 Seasons - Summer - Tempo Impetuoso D'Estate.. I have quite an mp3 collection in my head..

Another adventure begins:

Since i am looking for motivation in the shooting sportz i head somewhere close. Back to Lake Merced to an old house with some old shooting folk. Met up with Maj and 2 other younger lowellites we struggle to shoot something decent. I'm glad it was the A-17 Targets that we're shooting, but i'm not since my standard was the A-36, where the bullseye is 1/16th of an inch. With a borrowed Feinwerkbau 2000 Rifle that has an adjustable trigger from 6-10ounces, i did ok. It's a little light, both the rifle and the trigger, but i can deal with it.

50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36minutes:
Prone: 92-2x
Kneeling: 84-1x
Standing: 83-2x
Total: 259-5x

Kneeling was killing me, i started to have back spasms. I think this 50ft indoor stuff is for youngins where they can contort themselves much better. Maybe i should take yoga?
At least it's close and fast. And it doesn't hurt to know a few of the folk as well.

Time to reinstate the:
Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.75 out of 10 (things have changed a bit since i last was at work)
NapTime During Lunch: None

2nd day back to work. Same crap with slightly more changes. Do this, wear that, etc. oi!

My question to the masses is this:
If there are all these gun laws, and gun bans. A juvenile criminal is found to have possession of a handgun (you need to be 21 to purchase). Are gun posession charges filed? Sometimes. Do the charges stick? Rarely, it usually gets dropped in a package plea bargain. So how effective are these laws if it's not used to it's intent and purpose? All i have to say is another one is set free. Wee!

Back from Bakersfield already. My 3.5 day stint as Mr. Momz was over saturday night. Mini-Toast n I mainly hung out as the in-laws were feeling under the weather (everybody is under the weather all of a sudden?). They didn't want to cootie up the munchkin (isn't it supposed to be the other way?), so they steered clear for a while. Thanks for tending to the foodz n laundry!

Fluffielady was off to LaLaLand doing training of sorts. Our only and usual worry was food supply, we did a mad dash extracting and had quite a bit. Fluffielady returned with a few more packs, we've got quite a bit. Enough for another multi-day excursion, if momz decides to bail. I had formula in hand as backup, but after gauging the first day, it was all good.
Packed the Rav4 to the gills (again) and floated back up.
Ugh, my 3 months of hmmz lets call it, a sabbatical. I'm not feeling work anymore, but then this February will mark 9 years.. Good lord!
