50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36 minutes, week 15: Last shoot of the season.
Prone: 98-6
Kneeling: 97-3
Standing: 89
Total: 284-9
Time remaining: 3 minutes, 34 seconds

Song in the head while shooting: John Coulton - Still Alive (for the first few shots of prone) then slow fade to Journey - Faithfully

Had a decent last shoot for the year. At the offhand i had a revelation, most of my offhand shots seem to be barely hitting the 9 ring at either the 7 or 4 o'clock position. 4-Clicks up at the offhand and i think i saved a few points. This 4-click setup works for the 3-click up setup for kneeling anyhow.
I started to have vertigo type vision at times. Somehow when shouldering the rifle, the front and rear sight would be in perfect alignment and my focus was going back n forth on the rings of concentricity which caused the target to appear funny.

Dream: It's a funny one.

Somehow the crew and i were chillin at a rooftop cafe in Prague or some eastern european nation eating lunch. The only thing i remember of the lunch was that i think it was Brian who bought a bottle of alkies. He offered it around and i had the last bit of it. As we were chilling i started to look at the bottle and see if i could decipher any of it. On the back of the bottle says the usual flowery description of the flavor and brewing / distilling process. The last two sentences says "We only have one review of our beverage from a Andy Huey. Please mail us if you find this beverage an exceptional one." I showed everybody and we were busting out laughing.
After the lunch, nearby was a tenant-owner dispute. The elderly owner wanted to kick out the young family, shouting something about them being too loud and something about a bowling ball. The only image i had were these multilevel beautifully decorated gothic house. They were like the Painted Ladies of SF but 4-6 story, made of stone and had all the accoutrements of castles, and built side by side. It had spires, gargoyles, gold tipped pieces, arches, all that stonework. And thats how the neighborhood looked!
Man what a dream..

50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36 minutes, week 14:
Prone: 99-8 (6 were pinwheel centers)
Kneeling: 96-3
Standing: 93-3
Total: 288-14 (highest score for the season)
Time remaining: 3 minutes, 5 seconds

Song in the head: it's kinda lame but i had the subway 5 dollar foot long song, as well as West Side Story's - I feel pretty

It's interesting on how i came to this high score. Early i forgot that it was the thursday shoot day, my dentist calls and wonders if i'm free for 4:30pm. I agree and then realize that i had to shoot! I get to the dentist and waited until 5:45pm to be seen. My teeths get sparkly and no problems, i leave at 6:15pm. I get home and get the gear. I arrive at the range at 6:45 and a fellow shooter has just arrived as well.
Both of us shoot and somehow i have gas. The last time i had gas while shooting was in high school and i ate breakfast from burger king and had 2 cups of coke, 20 minutes before shooting.
Somehow though, everything mostly came together. Minus the 9 from prone and a 5 on the offhand. There weren't much wobble even at the offhand and this is when i realize. That what i was doing was called getting aggressive on the trigger. It turns into making a definate decision at the moment, and not any earlier or later. From mountain biking and snowboarding, hesitation equals getting injured or getting stuck. Try to live in the moment and decide quickly. One quarter of a second of pulling the trigger can result in a totally different shot.
Hopefully i can do better for the next and final week.

Doing a little better, more aggressive for the offhand. But kneeling either feels right or is all over the place. oi!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1.1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: medium

A while back, before the mini-toast, i had a sleep apnea test and was found to have severe obstruction of the airway at night. Lovely isn't it? I was ok with it, i didn't wake up groggy, i thought i slept ok, except for the mad snoring, but fluffielady took the brunt of it all. She'd have dreams of earthquakes and rattling and vibrating, only to realize it was me next to her. Also my blood pressure has been rising slowly, mini-toast could have had a part of it, but still it's going up and thats not good. We've cut alot of junk food and fast food, so that too confused me. Maybe junk food lowered my blood pressure like scotch does, so do i need a diet of junk food to be healthy?
After the test, mini-toast came about and my doctor told me that i was to be contacted by peoples for the machinery. It never happened, i inquired a few times at mini-toast's check ups but nothing, until 3 weeks ago. All of a sudden i was approved for a CPAP machine, and last friday i finally had time to get fitted.
It's been 3 days and i think i've felt the first of it's benefits. The first two days my resting heart rate was about 69, which was pretty good since it used to be alot higher. It confused me that i would wake up with a pulse of 70-80+ bpm. Today, the third day, my resting heart rate was 60 and as i hopped on my bike, my chest felt lighter. It felt airy, it was weird, i could ride better and not be all huffle puffed. My only gripe with the machine is that i can't move as much around in bed or else it'll start hissing, whistling or something annoying. At least Fluffielady can sleep alot better, i'm slowly getting used to the noise, which isn't that much. Technologies have made it way better then what i heard before.

-Washed Delilah, she had that offroad sheen that made all the 4x4's and rally cars jealous in the bay area.
-Loaded some ammo, getting low on the varget..
-Watched an anime called Saikano. It's ok, kinda odd, but typical japanese psychological mind trickery by using children as weapons of war. All the implications of war, losing people, loving people, etc.
-Made Calderetta. Mmmm

50 Foot Indoor SmallBore Rifle, 30 shots in 36minutes, week 12:
Prone: 96-1
Kneeling: 95-2
Standing: 78
Total: 269-3
Time remaining: 5 minutes, 3 seconds

Today was my saddest of the 12 weeks. As most shooters do, it's something elses fault, this time i'll go with the wind. Even though this is indoor, the wind was quite loud and blowing! My zero on all three targets were off to the 9 ring at 9 o'clock. Thats quite a sizable amount, again the wind did it.
I had three bad offhand shots. One was from overholding, the other two was one of those zen shots that wasn't supposed to happen. oi!
At least my kneeling is getting up there.

Word of the day: Phraseology. i.e. 'i think thats what the phraseology was' in explaining a legal definition.
