Work is started to change... Too many Chiefs.. not enough indians...

We got this new captain and on the first day he was here i remembered his words.. 'oh i'm only gonna be here and there, i'm not one of those guys who wants to change everything..' the next day, memos left n right! petty little things, things that annoy the busybees of the hive. Happy bees are working bees.. AND to top that we got another mid-line supervisor, great.. more people but less working people if you can understand that one. Now being a supervisor shouldn't be one who deligates, but it has become so. A supervisor should deligate on situations, but they should work whenever possible and not wang off just because he's a 'supervisor'. A supervisor should be one who has the knowledge and ability to answer or react to situations that don't normally occur. The supervisor should do what their supervisors consensus should be. Supervisors who go back n forth or aren't consistant makes people wonder.
At my line of work i don't really see much difference between the ranks, there should be more delineation. But then some supervisors work as much or MORE than other supervisors and even higher ranked ones. It's twisted, it's not one supervisor supervises say two or three mid-line supervisors. Thats how it's *supposed* to work. But there are times where the mid-line supervisor is the supervisor for the whole shift.. does that make sense? Things aren't passed down like how it's supposed to be, it's scattered. Worker A,B, and C know of something, but Worker D was never told.

The worst thing about this supervisor is he's in the realm of the theoretical. Now action A is supposed to occur by doing this this and this.. well in real life, action A won't go as planned and will always have a different result. Theoretical v. Real life. This guy wants us to be hawks or psychic, the all mighty powerful gods that control everything.. it ain't gonna happen, especially when the slugs work with you. How are you gonna handle the situations when your coworkers are on the phone or reading the newspaper? Or if they are assigned to one spot or to do something but are never at thier place?

Duty isn't what it used to be. Some people just always want change to stir stuff up. If it's been ran the way it's been ran for the past 40 years, is that change gonna make the difference? most of the time no, and it gets abandoned, usually unofficially, or due to time (time heals all wounds, and makes you forgetful too).

This new guy's gonna be a nit-picker. i can see it already.
Got Indians?
