Weather Conditions at Alpine Meadows : 3/3 Blue Sky (80% of the time), Green Trees, Blinding White Virgin Snow ..
Snow at Alpine Meadows: It's like Fluffie Pillow Fluff man! I could make indents with my head!

Silly Mangos..

Driving up was slightly mad. I'm glad we had a scout up there to inform us about stuff happening. My brothers buddy, wanted to drive up to Northstar to get some fresh virgin powder. But a 7-Big Rig accident occured probably 10-20minutes ahead of him. That killed Highway 80 east for the whole morning. He called us up, and we were about to reach Auburn, CA. Found out about it, i called 511 to see what the dealio is, but it said nada about the accident. We eat breakfast (whatsa ciabatta wit u?) and called 511 again. 'Highway 80 Eastbound is closed from Nyack Road due to an accident' Lordy.. i took a day off for this, i'm going! I come to find out from people in Jack-in-da-box that theres a few roads to roam to get around it. Highway 49 North to Highway 20 east. BaBam! It got us a few miles ahead of the accident.. Highway 80 was empty like no other! We drove by Boreal, nada, not many cars were there. We get to Alpine Meadows, and i'm parked in the sticks! The strange thing is, there weren't many people. In the morning the Six man lift to the summit was pretty packed, but in the afternoon it was pretty empty.

But Holy Cow, this snowboard rules.. I suppose the old board was weight training and once you put the light gear on it feels weightless.. Which it did. The board worked pretty good, except for one thing. It won't let you stop, since it has different edges, the board acts differently. Also since it's so light and nimble, it feels like if i lift my heel a tad i go toe siding, if i push down a tad i go hell siding.. Very nice.. And one last thing i think i can go for the half-pipe. With the board so light i can do half-moons up the hill and jump a 180 to go back.. More practice for me! Me likie this board!

While driving up, my brother and were chatting about eat dindins.

Evan: Man i didn't like that Mahi-Mahi Toastada at Dos Coyotes.
Toast: I'm getting kinda tired of that place. i dunno if i wanna go there.
e: I know what i want, i want the soup.
t: man i hope they change the menu, that menus been there for a while.
e: They better not do some fusion crap. Like put mangos in the mahi salad.
t: Haha, it's supposed to be southwest, what are they doing with mangos??

We board and what not, and finally get to Dos so that evan can get his soup. And whats on the menu? Mahi Mango Salad.. No more soup.
I had my Mango Chicken Quesadilla.. Mmmm yummie.
Silly mangos..
