Level Of Difficulty at Work: 2 out of 10 (+1hr ot)
NapTime During Lunch: Zip

Yesterday:

Weather Conditions at Alpine Meadows: 3/3 Clear Blue Sky, Green Trees, Snow All Over, 70 degrees ..
Snow at Alpine Meadows: Snow everywhere, yet unrideable at noontime..

I ventured up to Alpine Meadows with My coworker J. Boncato. All psyched up to go, we get to a very empty parking lot at Alpine Meadows around 10am. We get to the ticket booth and find out that only 3 lifts are open, and another sign 'Advanced Riders Only'. So we do this, out of the three lifts, 2 are the best options, the third called 'Scotts Lift', went to a run called the Promised Land (As well as Northstar). As you ride this lift, right before you egress theres a sign stating if the promised land was open or not. Too bad i couldn't get a pic of it: "Promised Land is Closed." Heh
Anyhow so the first lift we head onto is the 6-man accelerator to the Summit. Once we got to the run, it was evident that the snow was gonna suck. We got to go a few more runs but at noon that was it. And that was that, end of the snow season for me.
It's Errie to drive by Boreal and see the whole mountain covered in White Snow, yet have nobody in the parking lots, none of the lifts moving, sorta ghost-townish..
They said it dumped 27 FEET of snow on the month of march.. All unusable. =(
So what to do now? What else is there to do? We headed towards Tahoe City and into the Casinos! We headed to the Tahoe Biltmore, and Cal-Neva (not to be confused with the similarly named Club CalNeva in Reno!). Cal-Neva was owned from 1960-1963 by Frank Sinatra. The cool thing about this casino is that it actually sits on the boarder between California and Nevada. The california side is a conference room / lodge, and the Nevada side is all gambling baby. Even the Pool is split in half!

So we ate some lunch ($1.99 breakfast special at the Biltmore!), and blew some money on the roulette table and eventually ventured back home.

And as for today.. ehh, workworkwork.
