Reached Jessica n Bobs place in the very vast but quite beautiful University of Wisconsin : Madison. around 8am. i think i only had 2 hours of sleep on the road up. We hang out and i 'accidentally' pass out on their huge futon in the living room. Woke up around 11am. Played around with little James and off we went to the next stop. The Ho-Chunk Indian Casino for their grand buffet, we didn't gamble, so we didn't lost a ho-chunk of money, nor did we gain a ho-chunk either. *neak* The place is huge, but the best thing is, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the dining room is non-smoking only! woo!
Off to the legendary Wisconsin Dells, an Amusment park-town. Known for their water falls, rapids and water parks. Fluffielady has always wanted to go there but has never gotten the chance, it was always 'overlooked'. We just drove by to check out the stuff they got there. It's like a Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Fishermans Wharf combined with a bunch of waterslide parks and those Military Duck Vehicle Tours.
After that drive-by, another 5 hours to Spooner, Wisconsin.
The drive up is scenic, with happy cows munching on grass and grain silos next to red barns. The ocassional CHEESE sign sticks high above the treeline at some exits to lure the tourists for the goody orangy-yellow stuff.. Mmmm we didn't get to visit the cheese shops, which is ok, what are we gonna do with all this cheese?
Hanging around in Downtown Spooner, Wisconsin.
We eat at Tony's Pizza and say goodbye to civilization.. *scary*
Another 20-minutes or so we're there!!
