Awww how cute!

Ooo Fluffielady's 'Bayside Middle school for the Arts and Creative Technology' has evolved into this new thing on the web called 'blogs!' Sweetness! Come Visit Fluffielady's Dance Class Blog (even though it's mostly homework and ran by me =p~)
One day they'll have computers capable of blogging at their own classrooms! Ooo yea!

Lets see, on Saturday, i snapped some caps with my brother, his friend Peter and Roger our Chiroprator. The Weather was cloudy with temporary periods of drizzling, nothing horrible. Peter just picked up a brand new Springfield Armory M-1A 'loaded' edition. Also it's Rogers first time going blamblam! He got to taste a few treats such as the AR (me thinks he likes it), M1 Garand, 1903, the M-1A of course, then to the pistols: My Para-Ord, S&W 686 .357.
My brother never did get to shoot the 686 until Saturday. He asked me to bring it and i asked him to purchase factory .357Mag ammo. He asked why, and i just told him to do so. When he loaded up the other 357 and 38 special ammo, it was easy to shoot. When the Factory 357Mags were loaded i expected this huge plume of smoke to come out of the gun, instead i got this lightshow / fireball coming out of the handcannon. Too bad all of us forgot to take a pic or video the cannon in action. I think it was the only gun at the range to light up.

Yesterdays Chinese New Years Woot! We did the customary familia dindins at Milbrae, its normally at the R&G Lounge (Mmmm Salt n Pepper Crab!) Oh well, sooner or later we'll be back there again. Till then we'll be eyeing the crabby crabs!

i forgot to mention that my replacement Lexar Jumpdrive is down n out, and it's getting replaced, AGAiN. i'm guessing, like many things, i've exceeded it's 'built for rugged life.' When the replacement comes it's just gonna sit here as the non-portable portable drive. man.. One of the things that sucks with Lexars rules is that replacements cannot be upgraded or changed into other products. Sucks, i wanted to see if i can exceed another of their products' limitations.
So, i'll be looking for another 2gb Porto-Drive, might as well.

I finally finished watching Full Metal Alchemist. Pretty good, but being blasted 51 episodes took me a bit to watch. The only odd part is when you die you cross the 'gate' and the main character did for a bit and wound up in a place called 'london' during WWII.. whats that about??

i dunno if you could see it well but with my new system and x1600 xt. you could see the reflections of the sky and whats behind me. Pretty trick! The detailing is pretty good, but the game doesn't support HDR or Shader Model 3.0. The gourmet new video card stuff, where effects and shadows are really done excellent.

Got wasser? i'll put some more pics of me n my brother acting the fool in the game. Thats the main reason why i play the game now, not to win but to screw off as whacky as you can! heh..

Today in the Chronicle. An article about my favorite thursday afternoon events, BHC or Behavioral Health Court or what i call 'cookoo court'. The best part is:
[Judge] Donaldson, who sits on the judge's bench in a black judicial robe set off by a thick shock of white hair, doesn't dispense justice the way other judges do. He functions more as a father figure, a stern but friendly official to whom the clients must answer.

"Mr. Brown, I understand you're keeping off the alcohol?" Donaldson said to a man in a brown blazer who stepped up to the podium.

"Yes, your honor, but it's real hard during the holidays," the man replied.

"I know, and you're to be commended for it. Let's have a round of applause for Mr. Brown." There's polite applause from the attorneys, the bailiffs and the assorted clients in the audience.

Thats right, lets give him a round of applause for the brave soul. Hmmz, how can i further describe it. *If* you happen to sit at Department 27 on thursdays at 2pm, you get a sense of what jail is like. The smells of the jail come in and concentrate at that one courtroom, since half of the people out on this programs are my former clients (they all wave when they see me, how sweet!). Showing another cog on the slow grind of justice!

Abercrombie and Fitch Swiss made Luger. Only 100 made. Priced now from $3000-15000!

i never did get to post this. Das right, the clothing store of today was an all-around store of back-yonder. One of the things they sold were high-end firearms. What piqued my interest was hearing a story of an Abercrombie n Fitch 1911, which i would like to own, unfortunately searching online it doesn't seem to be any in existance.

In other news, a trial that i was sitting on was finished and the verdict is in. Another two bites the dust. I find that trials are a lonely matter. In movies and shows theres a bunch of people in the audience. Well the few days that i was sitting there, a total of 3-5 audience members where there. 16 jurors (12 + 4 alternates), judge, prosecution, defence lawyer and defendant most of the time, fills the empty room. Not until the final arguments and verdict that a small group were there.

So theres the lonelyness in the courtroom and then theres thursday at a different court, i've never seen so many trenchcoats and fedoras in a room. Certainly that day had a bunch of high-powered people sitting there for matters depending on FBI / DOJ / Attorney Generals office. At least i get to see 'normal' people for once!

Yesterday was horrible!

Out on a whim (and a phone call from a snow-addicted co-worker), i decided to head off to the hills, original destination: northstar.
My brother and Jenny were willing to head along so with delilah packed, we started on our usual time of 6am.
Got to Auburn ok, but saw signs saying that chains were needed, i forgot to bring them. Fine i wanted cables anyway, the chains were old school and was killing delilah. So went to our normal jack in the box spot, Jenny wanted a Sourdough breakfast sandwich. All this sandwich had was, bread, cheese, and egg. Somehow the order taker can only understand the phrase 'breakfast jack' so she assumed jenny ordered a Breakfast jack. My brother saw the ticket and went and asked that the sandwich be changed, they said ok, refunded the amount. When the order came, it had an extra Breakfast jack on the tray. ookay extra goodies, a few minutes later the same order taker tries to give us another breakfast jack, because maybe she forgot? What she forgot was that it was still the wrong sandwich. i dunno about going back to that jack in the box, i've had a lot of wierd experiences with them. ALOT.
After that, onto the road ahead. After 30min into the drive theres massive traffic, is it an accident? Whats going on? What happened was there was a chain checkpoint, where three freeway lanes were smooshed to one. Well suns been out for a while and they decide that chains were not required, yet they forgot to take back the cones. That kinda irritates.
So we head on some more and then reach another traffic jam, okay whats this one about? Traffic was going about 20mph. We don't know until we get to sugarbowl / norden exit, which was 2hrs later. What was it? Two snow plows that were plowing asphalt, and they were a mile or so away from each other. So Peoples had to manuever around them, jeez! At this time we decide to go to Boreal, since 1)we weren't gonna arrive till noon, 2)it's the closest, cheapest and it closes later, 3)they had that $700k 'whole mountain' terrain park deal.
We get there at noon and parked out in the supercutty, the lot was packed. We board for a bit and ate. The only plus of today was lots of virgin powder snow, and Jennys first to float on the pillowy-soft stuff. At 2:30pm the lodge was like a refugee camp, bloody people left n right. Theres a superlong line to get food too! argh!

My brother realizes that he might have dropped his snowboard tool and his walkie talkie on one of the runs. Ok, after we eat, we hafta go up the middle to get down to the side where the run was at. We get there and it's closed, they close the lift at 3:30pm. WEAK! We ask to see if we could walk up the run, nope, skii patrol will kick you down.. Right then both of us vow never to go back to "Boring Hill" ever again. $700k investment?? on what? We didn't see jack, other than a bunch of boxes and rails that were parked on the side of the base. what a rip. We did 4 runs in 4 hours. 4 boreal runs.
Screw it, lets get out, it's 4pm. At least i brought my Mint Choco Milk with Godiva Liquor, heated on the coleman stove. So it's around 4:30 or so and we're packed n what not. Off to home, well we get to where the snowboard shack is, and it's an uphill grade, but it's frozen over. Everybodys having problems going up the hill, spinning out n everything. And yes, i'm one of them. So what did i hafta do? Put chains on JUST to get out of the parking lot. That took a bit to do but we get to the freeway entrance at 5:30. Yea, a bit frustrating. Oh wait theres more!
By the time we get to the freeway everybodys left the other snowparks, yes, traffic going back home. I finally reached home at 11pm.

I'm gonna need a whole lotta angels to help me on that day.

So from this mess comes more rules.
1)Never going back to Boreal, they really need the accelerator type lifts.
2)Never going on a 3-day holiday
3)That Jack in the Box in auburn has gotten too silly.

i get home and find the living room shifted.

Shift Happens.

Today fluffielady and i chilled and hung out. Made some Para Ammo. And ate at the Hyde Street Seafood house.. Mmm Sturgeon 'En Papillote', cooked in parchment paper. Tastes like mahi mahi sorta. And creme brulee for dessert.. Yumm.. Ugh, now back to work, bah! I forgot to mention on friday it was strangly wierd when Terrence Hallinan sits next to you n chats about random things. Oh and since i've only been floating around in my new position for 2 weeks, i can truly say that the phrase 'the grinding wheels of justice' is the perfect description. Well in S.F. it should be 'the ultra slow griding wheels of justice'. When cases in S.F. take 3-5 years to complete, and cases in San Mateo take a year or so.

BANGBANG!
I got my match results and was fourth place in the expert class with my limp 362 score. Oh well i got second for the 600 yard slow rapid and got 4$ for it. My next match will be free, since i forgot to use the monies from before. The letter also came with the results of 2005. I seem to have won (i dunno how) the Highest Average in the Expert Class. Another plaque for the shooting wall weee!. Too bad i missed the Sharpshooter class, it woulda been nice to get the set. Collect all 5!!

Too busy to post yesterday, but i hadn't practiced the whole month for the high power.
200 yard Slow Standing (out of 200):178-1x (ho hum)
200 yard Rapid Sitting (out of 100):91 (ick!)
300 yard Rapid Prone (out of 100): 93 (ick some more!)
600 yard Slow Prone (out of 100): 100-5x ahhh yea!
Total (out of 500): 462-6x

Weather was clear and crisp. Slightly nippy in the pits. It seems that my mojo is fading on the rapids. i have no idea why, it's probably 'cuz of slight changing of shooting style. So now that i have the weekends off (neakneak) i can actually reserve a spot for the next months shoot. at Feb 5. woowoo! But while i was there i got invited to a SFPD / FBI / Olympic sniper match, scheduled at feb 9. Hmmz what to use, i think i'll bring my AR and my Thompson Contender. Nobody shoots the Open Sight class, since everybodys got the optics going. It's like this FBI lady sniper, she wins the female class by default. She still is pretty good though, last year scored a 200-6x (out of 200). Tis no joke! The match winner shot a 200-16x. i don't have the budget for a custom bolt gun, maybe one day i'll get my match Remington 700 with the AICS, jewell trigger with a krieger barrel. Yea.. one day..
Went to a coworkers to do tech support. The pc they built works but now their 1999 laptop is fritzing. Transfered some data over and took the lappy home to fiddle with.
Got home, chilled for a bit. Then i get a call regarding some silly fresno drama, which involved me intercepting peoples at SFO. Fresno is SOOO drama yanno! Wasn't done with that till around 10:45pm. Man!

Today:

NapTime During Lunch: got ~27

my first day sitting on a trial. i was told to go sit in the audience to shut them up if they get rowdy, riiight. An audience of 3, funny thing is theres a sign saying "No eating, No reading, No sleeping." Man what am i to do for that length of time? iPod time i suppose! heh
Bloody 39cent Stamps took effect. So after work ventured to the post office to try to get 2cent stamps. The machine still sells 37cent stamps, which nobody wants anymore and the 2cent books only took 1-slot and is sold out. You'd think someone would have this thing called foresight to stock it up? Nooo, so theres this mad line of people just wanting 2cent stamps. i got my .40cents worth! woowoo! Then i go home and i receive a letter from the home sellers broker (who helped us WAAAY more than my broker) with guess what, a half a book of 2cent stamps.. oi!

Today was a pretty busy day. It seems that their all busy days now, ugh!

Woke up at 8:30am. Delilah turned 90k miles when driving back from Bakersfield. So i did an oil change and tire rotate on her. I think i'll get some plugs as well. On the tire rotate i found that every tire (weak!) had a nail fully flushed with the tire so i suppose it's alright. They are supremely slow-to-no leaks. I think these tires are almost done. Maybe the next oil change new tires are in order. Must-watch-the-wear-line..

At 11am it was to the back crakas.
At 1:30pm we went to Danville for a funeral of a wife of a coworkers. Ed Bianchi. He's a pretty cool guy, mello n whatnot. His wife, Kelly, had a terrible car crash with his mother-in-law. Kelly passed away on the 3rd or 4th of this month. A bunch of us were there, it was a packed house, fluffielady and i stood out with a bunch of others in the hallway. It was nice hearing the stories. Ed was one of the guys i started with when i was on the midnight shift on the 6th floor. We handled my first fight call together.
It was around 1-2am and we hear this shouting and swearing. So the usual we get up, walk around and tell the people to go back to sleep. Someone HAD to mouth back at us. So we go in and check things out. We find this one guy all angry at the world or something and we're trying to calm him down. But he gets up and out of bed and is still pissed. Dood takes a swing at Ed and misses and we all lurch at the fool. We got your back Ed, we always do.

After that, we get home and go to my cousins 40th birthday! Whoa where has the time been! She and her family was at once part of the whole 11 people a house. Her mom was my dad's sister and just came over from Bejing. I was 6 or so. She tried to teach me mandarin. i asked her about it again today and she said i was a lousy student.. gee thanks! She was 17-18 then. Man! She was gracious enough to lend us her 3 daughters for the flowergirl activities. So for this 40th year celebration, they had whole Maine lobsters! I was trying to crack open Fluffielady's and her lobster just spatted all over me! Doh! I seriously smelled like the good ol sea for a while!

My system is now online. It owns! Yes it looks like a refrigerator but stylewise it's kinda classy. The system fans are all set on low and the CPU temp is at 31degrees celcius. 22degrees for the motherboard temp sensor. The autoadjustable one runs from 550-850rpm, which sets off the software alarm (it thinks the fan is dying, since it's going so slow). woowoo!
I've started overclocking it, the system bus is stock at 200mhz x5 = which is 1000mhz each direction. Now i've got it at 250 x5 and may push it some more. I've heard stories of it going to 325 x5.. lordy!
The video card is stock at 600mhz core and 700 x2(ddr)memory. I've pushed it to 640mhz core and 750memory. The difference is on 3dmark05 Stock scores a 5134, while overclocked is 5573. woo! My old system score was 1350. Tis bomb, and it's sooo quiet now, scary quiet! Just a very-low hum and nothing else.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: Tried, maybe got 20min, silly loud coworkers.

Today was ok, got to hang out at some prelims, but you know how this is, it's all interesting and what not. Then it gets to become the same old story. Even the judge wanted out, he was going to be late for the opening of the Rose bowl! let him out! heh. Oh, in the courtroom i can only describe it as those old bugs bunny cartoons where Wiley E. Coyote and that fuzzyhaired sheepdog. Both charaters punch in with their punch cards and off they go to 'work' and in the end both punch out and become cordial with each other. It's the same with the Defence attorneys and District Attorneys, kinda odd. Makes you wonder if this is truly a game of cops n robbers.

Got my cooling parts for the Project 90Nano. Mounting this cooler was no joke, and all the connections around it wasn't a cakewalk either. maybe i shoulda called this computer the great puzzleputer. I moved fans around (again). Now i got the Thermaltake as the exhaust with the temp. sensor mounted on the bottom of the Xp-120.
Mmmm look at them tasty heatpipes.
Then i mounted the fatty Thermaltake Thunderblade on top of the xp-120. it's just straight fans.

Friday should be when the SATA drive and the video card arrive! woot! in the end i think i'm going to mount the ATA/133's onto the middle shelf and the SATA on the bottom rack. Less cableing mumbojumbo. When Hard drives are cooled, they is happy!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 1 out of 10
NapTime During Lunch: i could, lemme get my bearing straight first.

First day on the Docket, i get shuffled into Dept. 22, which is the master calendar. Like a hub all cases get shuffled and transfered from here. Which means bodies go where the judge wants them to go. i'm relegated to transporter activities. Kinda silly the razzing i get at my old place, but i guess thats the love coming through.
Waking up at 6:45 was odd, traffic is exponentially bad (Compared to 6:10am) at this time. Lunch was from 12:30 to 2pm. then at 3pm everythings done, yet i gotta hang out till 4:30 to bail. Traffic back was worse (compared to 3:10pm), got home around 4:50.
i wonder if theres a wireless connection i can mooch downstairs.. hmmm.
Fluffielady's car was at the shop and was expected to be fixed by now. Nope, tommorrow they say, ahuh, at least THEY gave us a rental car, not a loaner a rental. How Queer is that? So it's the distributor that was hosed. How much is this madness gonna be?

Woohoo Happy New Years everybody!!

i do miss the usual bike ride with capt. D around frisco from 9pm till ~1:30am, you get to see all the whackyness and people going bonkers for the new years. Tis ok, this year me, fluffielady and the in-laws hung out by Portola Ave. up by twin peaks to watch the fireworks from afar, far afar, way way far afar. Theres nothing like being point blank not being able to speak to another for 15minutes at the Ferry Building. But then the masses of humanity somtimes spark bad events.
I hope everybody had fun saying bibi to '05.

Today the project 90 nano begins:

All i need is a video card and probably a new drive to complete the getup. The P180 is a serious puzzlemaker, i could alraedy see possible problems with the power supply wires on the bottom barely making it with the fan, which is supposed to fit on the middle. i've already swapped one of the upper fan (25mm thick) with the lower one (38mm thick). it's gonna be one bad machine:

Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego Core (90 nanometer core)
Cooled by a Thermalright xp-120 with a Thermaltake A1926 120mm (Mmm 4.7") Fan (pushing 78CFM at 21dbA!)
2x Antec Tricool 120mm X 25mm fans
1x Antec Tricool 120mm X 38mm
Asus A8R-MVP crossfire edition motherboard
1.5gb of Corsair TwinX DDR400 CAS2.0 ram on dual channels
ULTRA X-Connect 500watt Power Supply (for 10$ after rebates)
Hitachi T7K250 250gb SATA-II drive with NCQ
Connect3d ATi x1600 xt Video Card (Also a 90 Nanometer core!)
Maxtor 80gb (Super O.G.) ATA-133
Maxtor 120gb (Pretty Old) ATA-133
NEC ND-3500 16x dvd burner and my
really old Toshiba SD-M1612 16x DVD player hacked to read burned DVDs!

Every fan is rated less than 25dbA noisewise, except for the thermaltakes. Also each fan has a rubber lining and is screwed in with rubber washers.
Heck the hard disk drive bays have rubber mountings!

Sweet! This puppy better purr. Whenever the rest of the parts arrive!
