Dream:

I dreamt that i was in a typical chinese banquet in LA. As we're hanging out at our tables, people came by to tell me how brave my grandfather was in saving some people in a car fire on highway 5 coming down. As these people tell me this, i look over to my grandpa and he was smiling and thanking people as they talk to him. Then i wonder, how did my 70+ year old grandpa pull over and then pull people from a burning wreck? I woke up after that. Both my grandfathers were pretty mellow cool doods.

Dream:

2 of them:
1) I was an owner of a NASCAR Team and i wasn't afraid to get into the garage and get messy. The pit crew liked that and it was all good.
2) Somehow, i am a member of the upper class. It's not one where i see things that reflect it. It's more like a feeling of being in it. All i remember in this one was strutting around and people knew who i was.

Theres something about these Ralph Lauren Sheets that we put on a few days ago that is so soft that the dreams come alive. Thanks to whoever gave them to us at our wedding! I'll look in the old wedding books to see who gave them to us.

This morning i:
Cleaned the Bathroom and Kitchen, then off to the real stuff.

It took about 2 hrs to do, didn't really do much to it. The main thing was swapping the blue spring with the spacer with the fatty hardcore hammer spring. I stoned a few parts, not really doing much and put it all back together. It was working ok, except the lever would stick and was hard to pull out of its position. So it was a step i skipped from this site. The internet is soo cool for such things. If it wasn't for the Jerry Miculek Video that i bought for the 686 and insightful people posting info up, i wouldn't be able to do this. Anyhow the item that was sticking is called the finger lever plunger, and it needed a 'specialized' tool, a skinny nail with the point flattened. I love how theres always some goofy tool needed for everything i do, from bicycles to this. I still have my threadless star-fangled nut setter tool. So popping out the finger lever plunger and snipping a few bits of the spring and stoning the plunger a bit with a few test fittings, i got it pretty much free flowing. The trigger is a little heavy, but i think thats ok for 'field' use. I might go back and fiddle with it but i'll see.
Now it's action is flowing pretty slick n smooth. I got it from Santa, and if he handles it, santa might take it back..

There was a dream, 2 of them. Fluffielady as of late has had 4am awakenings and sometimes i am awaken from the awakening. I have strange selective hearing. You could be taking directly at me and a random noise elsewhere will kill our convo. But as i lay to sleep, i can hear at times: People walking down the street, the noisy loud clock in the boys room, and rarely fluffielady's watch ticking across the room. At my parents i used to be able to hear the cats walk on the fence, jump and land on the concrete. Anywho, i can't seem to remember my 2 dreams, one was a good one too.

Today i recieved my gun parts package from Brownells. They're pretty fast from Montezuma, Iowa. I ordered on Sunday and i suppose UPS works on that monday holiday. Normally it takes 7-10 days. With this supposed rain storm coming sooneth and fluffielady out n about for her work, it's tear apart firearms time! In the box are a bunch of cleaning jags that i decide to try out, some patches for the jags, a few speedloader holders for the 686. And this puppy:

1st of easiest Mods. an STI extended Magazine Releasein to the Para, and extended it is! I had put in a steel oversized button to replace the plastic stock one. I could barely reach the button and hitting the button faster = faster shooting times.
Speaking of how, i am now rated 'C' Class. It sounds so pro but this is for folks 40-60% of the High Masters Score. Yep, IPSC is graded on a curve dependant on the fastest folk in the nation. I'm at 57.35%. The class that i'm in also is one of the larger groups, the limited class. I could goofball it in the revolver class with the 686, but that involves $ for equipment.

So i was trying to install a AFTEC extractor, but my Para is a Series 80 and putting the extractor in = no firing pin safety. Hmmz Is there a workaround? If not i can live without the firing pin safety. I finally did get to clean the extractor channel and talk about caked-in crap! Extractors are your friends, it pulls away the used case for another one to be used. I might pause on the extractor for now and move onto a spring kit for the Marlin 1894 lever action, tommorrow.

I did have a dream today, its vague right now. I remember dirt, and driving, it might be from this PC game that i started playing called Just Cause. It's like grand theft auto style game with a sillyness to it, like perpetual parachuting and grappling hooks, which hook onto anything moving. First thing i hooked was a helicopter, use your imagination after that.
This week i am the transporter. And i have transported 3 out of 3 days so far.

I'm not liking any kind of weather predicting anymore. Every site is wrong, i think i'm being too detailed at what i want. The only thing that i'm hating now was the dopplar radar. Yesterday's radar before i left home showed this wall of water on the coast, with a little room thats coming in. I leave early but halfway to work it pours in buckets. Good thing i have gore-tex shoes.
Motorcycle Lesson #1: Pack Extra Socks, always.. Which i do.
Todays radar had rain in the city and the path that i'm going. Great, it's gonna be wet. I put on the rainpants and take off to no rain whatsoever. I also looked at the forecast. Each site gives a nifty percentage of probable precipitation at 3pm 70%, 4pm 60%. When 3pm came by, the sky was clear, roads mostly dry.
I've seen crap like 100% chance of showers and nothing happening (thus ruining a possible snowday.) Maybe it is happening, just not in my area in my zipcode maybe? I understand patches here and there, but when RADAR has it all lit up, wheres the rain?

Dream:
I dreamt that i was in a soccer team of sorts. i think i was in it but i might have been just there on the sidelines. The team relied heavily on one guy to do most of the work, which he didn't mind. He looked like Ronaldinho. I walk to the side of the field which i thought was safe, there were a bunch of boxes spray painted onto the grass. All of a sudden the soccer game goes to halftime and the 2 teams come to where i am and start playing kickball. Ronaldinho gets a base hit and the second kicker assists in bringing him home. It was like a to get more points into the soccer game.. How weird is this?

My dinky little Canon SD450 camera can do something, i think its the only thing i can do with it. Other than taking normal pics. 15 second exposure on a strangly foggy night, a few days back, down the street. The fog was 'under' us, with a clear sky above. It kept like this for a while and then the fog just enveloped the whole area.

Didn't do much today, loaded 200rnds of .38 spl. I'm catching up on my empty ammo box queue. Only thing left is 2 .223 boxes. Bought some goods mainly for the para at brownells.

Fluffielady is doing bit by bit better with her ankle.

Trying this new FoxyTunes add on for Firefox. i find it funny that while searching for an alarm clock for windows, i come to find this. Where it's an integrated mp3 player controller with an alarm clock that turns on your player at a certain time. It also likes to plug itself on blogposts, how odd.. Of course the clock won't be useful if your speakers aren't on. But hey with my Alzheimer going strong, i'd forget why the alarm was set in the first place. Dang thats bad..

Loaded 300 rounds of .40, while pondering about going to shoot ipsc tommorrow. I think i'll pass this month. i need to re-rig my rig, and i need to get few parts heh heh. It's also the last of my Montana Gold Bullets, my second case of 2500 and thats alotta ammo! I should have enough for 3 months worth of snapping caps, and i'm heading to the big reno gun show at the end of march. But i'm wondering if i should go for lead bullets, if i can get them cheaper. I looked at a few places and Powder Valley seems good for lead but Montana Gold's price includes shipping. I also need a bit more of 38 bullets as well. Pistol shooting blazes away too quick, oi!
So for now i need at the gun show:
Small Rifle and Pistol Primers, Large Mag Pistol Primers for .44. Bullets in .38, .40, some .44s, maybe some nosler ballistic tip .223. Maybe some Kroil and wilson combat grease. I played around with Capt'n D's Bladetech UCH holster and it was pretty nifty, i wonder if they sell that for a good price at the gun show..
I'm ok with powder. 8 pound keg at 4.6 grains = 12000 rnds.

Fluffielady's Ankle is doing better, it was swollen yesterday but this morning the swelling is subsiding. Limp master she be.

Also i might have found a cell phone replacement, when it comes out, hopefully its at a decent price, if not the next gen iphone is in the back of my mind, whenever that comes.

Doh! There goes our 3 day weekend. Yesterday fluffielady returns from teaching dance with a sprained ankle. No it's not from dancing, it's from walking in the parking lot towards the car. Her knee is all booboo'd and ankle is puffed up. It's all about ice. Ice!
We wanted to head down past Devils Slide into this little beachy area but it requires you duck n dodge the cars of Highway 1. Oi what to do for this weekend.. Should i go IPSC on sunday?

On another note:
The Rav4's check engine light has been coming on and off here and there. When it turns on, theres no perceivable change in driving. It would go on and off, i finally bought a OBD-2 Reader on ebay and checked the error code. P0141, Oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank1 sensor 2). Replacement price? 75$ Lala. If anyone needs a OBD-2 reader, you know where there is one. It spares you 90$ to visit to the dealership, just to plug in the reader.

Happy valentines day!
Its also my 8th year working for da man. Dang thats real scary!

Dream:
The only part i remember is standing infront of a Bart Ticket Machine and it was new with a 5 number keycode that represents each station. But when i type in the code, it gives me a different destination. weird..

Cut work today and fluffielady and i did our semi-usual at valentines: Floating towards the Marin Headlands. The weather being quite good with clear blue skies except the winds were a blowin.
-Took off for Sausalito around 10:30am. Hung out at Fort Baker

Another angle of the Golden Gate Bridge. I think i've seen every angle, even overhead as well as with fireworks!
I guess this is where the Discovery Center is. It's a kiddie version of the exploratorium, a kiddie kiddie version.
-Ate at the Horizons Restaurant, next to the Scoma's in Sausalito. Food was not bad, it wasn't ultra shiek but it wasn't crap either. View was beautiful. When we got there at 11:30am there was nobody, we were the first to be sat. Parking was hard but there weren't many people roaming around. Oddness.
I had a Crab Sandwich, which was open faced with a nice spring salad. Fluffielady had a Clam Chowder, Caesar Salad and Bay Shrimp Salad combo. Yummie looking. Service was good. But reading it on yelp says service is good if the crowd is light.
-After eating and walking a little bit around Sausalito. We headed to the Headlands, Up top to the two golden gate vistas (Battery Vagner and #129) and worked our way towards the Point Bonita lighthouse. Hiking down a steep embankment a steel door at the entrance of a tunnel stops us from getting close to the lighthouse. It was closed like usual, we normally have problems seeing lighthouses (like at Point Reyes).

Small lil Point Bonita lighthouse.
-Roamed to Fort Cronkhite and hung out at Rodeo Beach. It gives me Flashbacks of High School ROTC Orienteering. Good times good times.
-Got home and fluffielady heads to work. Time for me to make some Broiled Steaks for dindins.

Today was kinda odd.

Woke up at 4:20am, tossed about till 5am, so i stayed up.
-Installed DD-WRT on my WRT54G. it was pretty easy installing. It's like OEM plus for the router.
-Didn't really do much the whole day, i actually took a nap at 1:30 or so. The Rav4's check engine light turned on as we were driving home from Brians, yesterday. When it turned on, i didn't feel any kinda engine disturbances. Today i looked at the 2 boxes of fuses that the car has. The thing has tons of fuses! Nothing looked burn or popped. So i got a OBD-II reader on ebay.
-Napped with the cat. Woke up around 4:45pm. My standard naps is about 1 REM cycle, unless i force myself a wake up time prior to napping.
-Ate psudo chinese new years dindins at the olive garden. Most chinese restaurants were all booked! My brother picked up his DS. woot!

Today was quite busy. Woke up at 7am, did some photoshopping of a photo fluffielady wanted. I was kinda ghetto done but it can pass sorta. For 15minutes of work, it'll pass.

-Went to the range for some pop pop around 9:15 to 11am. My shotgun split times are still around .18-.2 seconds. Beh, it's cool for hitting a target. My goal was to leave around 10:30-10:40. But 2 coworkers were having target hitting issues. One was squeezing all his fingers when firing (hits low and left) and the other released his finger too fast after the shot broke (hits to the low and right).
-Got home at 11:15, got ready for bri n kimz baby showa.
-11:40am picked up a package for fluffielady.
-12:10pm arrived at foster city, let the games begin. Kim is showing quite a bit now. Chucky is putting himself in a partial police academy. J, Sherwin, Bert, came with the addition of Roz, Robyn n Jivis busting a cameo. Jivis is still all knocked out throughout.
-3:30pm began work on Bri's moto, it WAS supposed to be an easy task. Oil and filter change. But the battery was dead, ok replaced it, easy. Bike doesn't start up. It's fuel injected so it's supposed to be all auto done. Manual advised against push starting, or any kinda unscrupulous methods for carburetor'd motors. We proceed to install some flush mounted turn signals. Fricking body panels are a jigsaw , requiring a jillion bolts in all kinds of places. I got those fitted while trying to turn the moto here and there. After a while the new battery started to fade. I don't think that battery was at full power.
-6:30pm done, minus 2 bolts that refuse to return to it's place, Some bolts were really redundant. 5 bolts where the 3 fairing panels meet? and 2 on each end piece under the frame? I thought hondas were supposed to be all user friendly.
-7pm eat at Mimi's with sherwin. Bananas Foster mud pie is crazyhuge!
-Afterwards, roamed the target. They sell mighty putty there!
-Got home around 8:something. Went online and talked to my brother about getting a new cell phone etc. My 4-year old is getting silly on me. At times the battery would fade from half full to empty, and the alarm clock with my peaceful wake up music wouldn't play, once it only played 3 notes and silence. Time for a new phone!
-Going to bed around 11:30pm, kinda rare. nini

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.35 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Short

Lets see since high power we did quite a bit.
Sunday-
We added a bit of tax work from 11-3 or so. Mainly fluffieladys work stuff. Write offs up the yang. Hung out at Pauls haus n chilled with the kiddies.

Monday-
I liked the Chronicle and a section about silly presidential bumper stickers. My Fav is : "Monica Lewinsky's Ex-Boyfriend's Wife for '08"

Tuesday-
Went to vote and when i signed up to vote in college under the green party. Since California is a modified closed primary, and theres no green party folk to vote on i was given an option that some computer chooses on the registry: Non-Partisan, Democratic or Independent. Thats not fair, if i can choose Democratic? Why can't i choose Republican? So i ask and i need to vote on a provisional one. Which is Hand processed. So i might as well stir the pot some more, busting an address change since my address seems to be in limbo. So i vote.

Today-
Went to costco and trader joes, bought some weird stuff, water, etc. Banannas are excellent at $1.30 for a bunch.

Yesterday i shot high-power at Richmond. I haven't shot it since Sept'07, and i still don't feel all that motivated for it. i'm glad one of my coworkers is starting to go hard core with it, maybe that will pick me up. Its hard when the original 2 coworkers of mine started shooting high power a few years back, got me into it, then left for almost 2 years. While i'm still going at it, now they are starting back. oi!

200 Yard Slow Offhand: 185-4x
200 Yard Rapid Sitting: 92
300 Yard Rapid Prone: 96-1x
600 Yard Slow Prone: 95-1
Total: 468-6x (ick!)

The weather was mad. Cold with drizzle and ed and i were stuck to the 3rd relay. It seemed to me that i was grouping to the left, i made some adjustments but it wasn't working. Also on the rapids, i forgot how to use the service rifle sling! I have the sling marked where to put the hooks on the bottom and where to stick your arm, but i didn't mark the top hook and i had moved it before. Oi! i got it working somehow but it didn't work enough.

Lets see, arm goes in where the arrow on the right side is pointed, but the hook on the left, where does that attach to? doh!

-i'm surprised that my offhand is pretty good for a rifle that i haven't touched (and cleaned for once) in 5 months. The pit service for offhand was so slow that i thought the guy was beyond quick. All i saw were X's and 10s thinking that man i'm good! While the guy was hiding from the rain he didn't see the multiple .22 holes popping up.
-There were a few times on the offhand where i can feel my subconcious and body anticipating the shot. This rifle has no recoil whatsoever and yet my body still reacts to it. Luckily i noticed it and corrected it before i had bad shots.
-Rapid sitting was low and to the right.
-Rapid Prone was high with a left right group on the 9/10 ring line. It always works like this, i shoot 2 sighting shots, both x's. Then when its time to go it goes sideways. ugh!

Got home did 3 loads of laundry. How does Gore-tex wash?

Two interesting food tidbits, sorta like good news / bad news.
Good news (well, if your into it):
Too bad i don't live in japan which is good (theres no guns there) and bad, where i can't get strawberry flavored Cheetos. Fuzzy Cheese Balls dipped in strawberry flavored chocolate! The ultimate sweet and salty snack! Only sold in japan, my tummy thanks thee for being far far away from it.

Bad news:
Talking about banning crap. Banning guns is bad, UK Doctors want to ban pointy knives 'cuz they're bad, and now in the state of Mississippi is trying to pass a law banning Fat people from eating at restaurants. People with Body Mass Index's of 30+ = too bad so sad.
I think a better way is peoples BMI's of 30+ should be given a different menu, involving healthy stuff, hows that for an amendment?
Ban! Ban everything! This country of the free is so not.
