Dream:

Todays dream was hick-ish.. Yeeup.. All i remember was a Small Block V-8 as a present, owning 2 bass boats, my mom driving (which is really odd), and thanking some crazy lady for helping me out make bets on something for which i won gangloads of money. I think i actually did say, thanks guys for all the gifts but its kinda hick-ish isn't it? Someone replied that they were amazed that they stuck the small block into a Camero or something in a few hours, just to see if it ran.

Dream:
This one is a little vague. All i remember is that i was in one of those German Modernly styled train stations. I was looking for a way to get to somewhere, possibly out of the country (maybe to Argentina??, which is in South America..) to get something German. Yea it's weird, like going to NY for some Chicago Style Pizza. So i meet some kids who sorta know where they are going, sorta. We get out of the station and start walking around whatever town i was in. Other than the Chevron Station in the midst of the german town, thats all i remembered.

Dream:
Today i had a eco-friendly dream. It was designing a whole system of sensors and computers that stepped down in power usage by room. The computer would figure whos in what room and with that it powers down most devices to a set minimum. The sensors would follow you as you went thus illuminating the path you go. It all sounds nice, but i'd just turn off the lights by hand. Theres a few new systems like that which involve home stereo installations. Those systems control lighting as well as music to individual rooms.

Lets see what did i do after work.
Changed the oil on the Rav4, 60k!
Recharged the SeaChem Purigen Packet for the fishtank. It's kinda neat, you buy this packet of what looks like whtie sand, stick it in your fish tank filter. The packet absorbs bad stuff and the white sand turns brown. Whenever you feel like working it, it's a 3-step process which takes 2 days to do. 1 24-hr bleaching, 1 8-hr recharge, and 1 4-hr ph balance. Then the sand turns back to it's original color and pop it back into the filter. This is my second recharging, it lasts for a few months or so. About the same time as a charcoal filter replacement, or whenever you feel like playing with the fishie tank. The Fish are happy 'cuz swimming in your own pee isn't all that enjoyable.

Dream:
Todays involved me being promoted to the rank of Cadent Lieutenant from JROTC after the fact that i've graduated years before. Yet the odd ceremony occurred at i think my middle school's basement hall. I gave a speech n all that. That was odd..

Todays Dream was an interested one. It involved being in the Steampunk era. Steampunk is a science fiction genre in which the time is modern today. Yet the technology that we have is run off a different system. One which is still run by gears, steam engine, chain driven type stuff, there are no plastics, it's mainly metals and glass. An example is a CRT television with the exception that there is no frame since it was plastic. You could see in insides, the tube, wiring, metal components.
Anyhow my dream involved building the empire state building but with large machines, the only thing i really remembered was that at the top of the building were these enormous panels that opened or closed depending on daylight. These panels were moved by these huge chains that ran on the side of the building.

Example of a steampunk computer:

Onto the main course.. Pumpkins!!

One of Roz's many supermodel poses.

The crew gathered to posse up off to Half Moon Bay. Highway one on the way there and back sucked. The suckage started near the town of half moon bay. I'm guessing everybody was trying to get into town for some reason. i think there was quite a media blitz on the town and everybody descended on it like mad. We arive at our usual Arata's Pumpkin farm, which was mad packed with people. It's the most we've ever seen in the past 2 years of going there. And with that came the crazy prices, pumpkins as much as 18$!! C'mon thats a mad amount to pay for some squash. They added a bit of things and i guess charges people for it. The one thing that we felt was worth it was the 5$ hay bale maze. It's huge and had a fair amount of deadends and roundabouts. So it took a while to get around it.
Fluffielady and i see a sign for an old west pumpkin patch, and i guess this guy who owns the land decides to create his own old west scenery. It's called the Long Branch Saloon and Farms. You can rent it out for your own custom cowboy party. Last year it was low key, had a small undecipherable sign and we thought it was another small pumpkin patch. I think these guys were in it for the word of mouth type stuff. Since they were giving away pumpkins. Buy 4 slices of pumpkin pie, and get a free pumpkin. What kinda pumpkin? they don't care, grab one out there. Also at the patch their pumpkins were 4$ or less, no matter the size. So fluffielady got the mondo one from the pie slices and another one which i nicknamed the curler, since it looks like it's for curling, for 4$. I liked the old west themed saloon, and everybody seemed to praise the bathroom.
The third spot that we went to was up the hill past arata's and it was just a plain field with one exception, it had a pumpkin tossing sling attached to it. You had to really pull on it to get the baby pumpkins going. There were a few horses feeding off the exploded pumpkins, and they were standing a little too close to the target. One guy actually hit the horse square on the head with a pumpkin. The horse kinda shrugged it off and continued foraging for pumpkin bits. Silly horse. The sling was harder this time and it wasn't aimed at the right area. Sherwins got some pics of that.
Driving back sucked, everybody wanted to get onto the 92. Good luck with that one..
Good times good times.

While fluffielady was slaving away at making a sale, the crew n i chilled at Bay Meadows for messenger bag day. Oooo! We hung out for about 6 of the 9 races and i came out even, which is pretty good in my mind. It must have been all those times my dad brought me to either bay meadows or golden gate fields. go horsie go!

Mailed out the warranty action for my ram, hope that comes back soon. It's only going to fremont.
Now that my system is sorta back online, i never thought that fan on my old video card made so much racket. When i turn it on, i need to listen for a bit to make sure it was going. Very nice!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: .5 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium (Coulda gone long)

It's only once in a blue moon i get to run around the streets of frisco. With that i get a guy coming in saying that theres an accident up the busy intersection of where i'm at. Heading out, i'm thinking it's the usual one on one car deal, yanno, some glass shards, maybe some metal, i didn't hear anything mad from where i was. So i get there and a bunch of people are hovering over an old guy sitting on the ground. As i get closet i recognize the guy as Louis Katz, a friendly old defense lawyer, hes sitting up on the ground with a little bit of bleeding on his head, its not the gushing or even flowing, it pulses with the beat of the heart. Then i notice something that looked like someone dug a spoon on top of his head, which is where the blood is oozing from. I call for some ambulances and a few others, which the ambulance and fire came quite quickly, they are oh, 3 blocks down the hill. The lady who i thought hit Mr. Katz was there, as well as a few other people who witnessed it while sitting on the left turn lane.
So this is what i get from the stories. Mr. Katz (oh ya, he's 82 years old)was walking against the light to the middle island, alot of people do that, sometimes the road is completely barren. He makes it to the island and sees if he can go all the way, at that time a lady was driving into a green light and sees Mr. Katz crossing the street. She brakes but it's too late. He hits the side of her car and goes airborne and lands on his head. Man thats gotta hurt. He was in the ambulance for a while and they took their time heading to the hospital, so it wasn't a life or death emergency. Still though a divot on his head, ow!

So i get home and my goodies came to fix my computer. I ordered a PowerColor Radeon X1950 Pro on sale with rebates etc. And another SATA Hard drive. On the Video Card box says, Silent Cooling. Back in the days silent cooling meant passive cooling or fanless style stuff with heatsinks n crap like that.

This doesn't look fanless to me. But it's 'Arctic Cooling Tuned', and when starting up it is pretty quiet!
The thing is a frigging TANK, fitting the whole length of the motherboard! With barely any room for the Hard drive bay and wires. So i boot the computer up, nothing. ?!?! Ohh man, i decide to play around some more and i find that one of my Corsair Ram Sticks is whats preventing the computer from booting. So another warranty job for me. Man, so now my desktop works, but it's soo slow! 512mb of ram is horrible! hahaha.

Man thats a video card..

Now i've gotta clean my room, it totally looks like a bomb went off here.

Oh ya one last note, Imagestation by Sony is going to fade into the shadows (i.e. close up shop) so i decided to close my account with them. Time to update the side bar!

-Bought a box of 100 Knape and Vogt 256's from ebay for $19. Used 2 so far. I think i should sell sets of 10 back on ebay. A box from an online shop would be 17$ + 10$ shipping.
-Bought a replacement right mirror for the Gixxer on ebay of course. When it arrived i thought it was a wrong one. I decided to take apart the broken one and pop in the new one. Works so far.
-Bought + installed new bosch+ windshield wipers for the Rav4. 22" driver, 19" passenger, i need a 12" for the rear as well as a 13" for Delilah. Hmm should i look at ebay?

Time During Lunch: Short

Yesterday hung out with Paul, Bert and Gerald as we shuffle stuff out of one of Paul's rooms downstairs. Ahh yea move move move, i got to bolt and secure the wobbly cabinets and with that some sillyness involving driving around for tools.

Today i got a early surprise, my new motherboard has arrived. My past experience is when something is rebuilt, things that i used to take careful attention to just gets slapped in there. So my new system has a few less parts. Oh well, i booted it up and nothing happens. Great, now what, theres one component in there thats dead, so i gotta go piece by piece to see whats wrong. I thought it was the power supply, so i put a new one, nothing, i'm trying different RAM combinations, nothing, swapped an older CPU, nope, twiddling with hard drives and dvd drives, nada. So i think it's the video card, i don't have something to replace it, so off to a new one.

Dreams:
I had a dream where i was using a 110 film camera. Remember those? i dreamt where can i get more 110 film nowadays?
Wikiepedia Pics:

Hmmz i think i still have my 110 camera somewhere.

Today i get to be the transporter and on my ways on the road man theres all sorts of madness out there. Trucks Flipped and cars hit taking out 3 lanes on 280south, Cars spun out on 280 north, even somehow a car hopped over the guiderail and into the bushes at the John Daly exit.
When your car is peeling out in the wet, either you have too much horsepower or bald tires due to mad peelouts. Just because you soup up the engine doesn't mean you go forgetting about the brakes, so check them all.

Well there was a great rumbling at where i work. A kid flew the coup and went for a nature hike. He was arrested a few days earlier for running away from a place he was ordered to live in. It wasn't our responsibility that the kid bailed but we decided to go on a manhunt. It didn't work but somehow instead of it being a small thing, it became a very large thing.

Flossing isn't my thing..

Had my teefs cleened. It always feels funny after getting my 6 month razzing. Its fun to check out my file, on what my dentist writes. It's usually like this:
Date xx/xx/xxxx - Patient does not floss.
Date xx/xx/xxxx - Patient does not floss.
Date xx/xx/xxxx - Patient does not floss.
etc. etc..
So instead of flossing i'm using this gum stimulator pick thing. But my dentist isn't worried about cavities, but more of gum disease. Great, somehow i gotta get myself flossing, then i'd be really flossin..

Motherboard is gonna arrive next tuesday, woot!

Fixed a coworkers laptop, blasted Trojan.KillAV Virus. It's like pulling teeth trying to fix the thing. It wasn't no click click boom done.. it was more like do A to get to B then do C and it might work. yep, might, and Yes the pun was intended.

I love going to sleep around 1am, and waking up at 7am. No matter when i sleep, 10pm, midnight, 2am, i wake up at 7. bleh!
Hung out with Paul at the Sugar Cafe in the city at 10pm. It's a snazzy little place with bumping loud music and a small walkway in which your bumping into people just to get through. We get drink vouchers which is pretty cool and order a bunch of stuff. Looking for something to drink i spy a bottle of Macallen 18 year old. I ask for 2 shots of that, one for me and one for paul. I get the drinks and the bartender states that normally the Macallens are $25 a pop, fine i figure why not. It's a nice, smooth yet flavorful. Compared to Johnnie Walker, which is smooth it's more mellow flavored. The Macallen has more volume (audio-type), the only way i can describe it, it's a good thing. I like it, checking bevmo, and finding out it's a $150 bottle is sweet!

Today did some cleanup at the house. Did laundry and bought some heater vent registers that i can aim the vents myself. It should work better. I'm still looking for my Knape-Vogt 256's.
Fluffielady received her goodie Ice Cream cake. woo!

This is for Sherwin. The Wi-Fi Detecting Shirt, sold out for now.

Kinda neat, donchathink?

I'd like to thank one of a fellow who works with me for inviting (sorta) fluffielady and i to her condo at Telegraph hill. Her condo balcony overlooks the northside towards alcatraz giving my coworker crew an excellent view of the Blue Angels. Parking was tore up, and it got way thick after we parked. But the worse is i forgot my camera, doh!
Other then the badass manuevers, close flybys, twisting formation loops, screaming booming noise. My fav is to actually see the afterburner firecone and rings on a bright blue sunny day.
Thanks Google Images:

Beautiful and badass.
I can see why they are called Hornets, they move like a bunch especially at speed and in formation.

Now onward to another party in a little bit.

It's nice to be undocumented. The latest rush is someone in central America is promising families that their son can make money and have it sent back to their parents easily. So what kinda work is it? It's not pulling crops, or washing dishes, it's selling narcotics on the street. The only bad thing is coming straight from such places as Honduras kinda makes you stick out. Especially when nobody tells you that selling drugs is bad. So you get caught and brought to jail. I guess one of the things they tell these people to answer to the police that they are juvenile.
I've seen a few who are youngsters, with blank stares, not knowing whats going on. Poor kids, then i've seen the more older ones, one guy has wrinkles and he claims he's a juvenile. It takes a while but somehow information comes and lo n behold, they're 20 years old, and have 4 different names, with each name having a different birthdate.
San Francisco wants city ID cards to everybody, a benefit for non-documented. So my theory is, anybody wants fake ID cards that legal? I'm trying to come up with a crazy name.

In other news, another end of the world story: In Orlando, Florida, a 13-year old Boy kills his 8-year old brother. The younger brother ate a dessert and the 13-year old got worried that the older will be blames.

Lately i've been acting wierdly, not that i act normal in the first place. But theres been an increase in loss of memory and concentration. I'm starting to think that i've got a tumor or something. I relay this to my chriopractor and he thinks it might have been from that simple little rear ender. It may have jolted the brain and i might be experiencing after effects from it. Lovely.
Back in the day on my downhill days, whenever i scrubbed i'd always hope that i'd some a 2nd or 3rd language, psychic powers, increased mental capacity. But nooo it doesn't work like that. beh!

Dreams, a bunch of them that i remembered.
-One involved me hiding on a hillside with my rifle protecting coworkers entering a compound.
-The other felt like i was in a motorcycle race, except it was something like going up a parking garage ramp that's 1/2 the size. About 2 motorcycle widths. So i'm riding up and turning right on the curve and i see another motorcycle about 50 yards in front of me flip forward. I stop and try to signal to the others that there is someone down. Kinda like how people do on snowboard jumps when someone scrubs hard and others come to stop the jumpers.

What would you do?
Say you have a daughter whos a high school upperclassmen. Her friend is having drama with her boyfriend, which is typical for the age. The boyfriend is slightly violent and gets angry easy. So your daughter are chillin at home and she gets a phone call from her friend. She happens to be nearby your house. Friend and boyfriend are arguing which leads to them breaking up. Your daughter says come over if you want to get away from the guy. Friend comes over and hangs out for a little bit.
Next day your chillin at home and you hear something, lo and behold your window has been shot with a BB gun. Of course your trying to figure who did this and what the heck is up. All in the while your daughter's friend calls thanking her for letting her hang out at the house. Your daughter mentions that the window has been shot by a bb gun and her friend realizes that the now ex-bf might have done it, he owns a bb gun and has been known to shoot at windows. Daughter tells you about the phone call, you go confront the friend. At first she doesn't want any more drama, but eventually she tells you of the ex-bf who might have shot the window. She's afraid because if the ex-bf gets harrassed he'll know that she told someone. Talk about stickywidgets.
What do you do?
