Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.75 out of 10
Time During Lunch: None

Dream:
I dreamt that fluffielady found a house for sale in the $700k that was valued at $1.5-1.8mil. It was a gated home with several buildings. Pretty impressive and quaint. It was us two and a home inspector. We go in and there were several dogs of different sizes. It seems that the previous owners just left them. At first they didn't know what to do, but after a few minutes, they were quite friendly. The house was trashed though and there were walls in weird places. The carpet was old and there had to be work done. I think it might have been in a different country, and i asked the inspector about the foul weather in the area. He told us that it comes with the territory and it should be fine.

Man today was wet! When its white out misting and water is running down your leg. It's a wonder why cars drive with their lights off. The car wash that is my house is still going on. Wee!

One last note, this is Posting #900 !!! Whoa mama!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.50 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Small

Dream:
Fluffielady woke me up saying "tell the guy that i'll take it." Man she shops in her sleep? Nighttime talking n shopping!

I keep forgetting to put this on but with all this crazy rain and wind, our dish keeps on ticking. I think there was once where there was pixelation but it went away after 10seconds. Pretty good in this crazy windy spot. It sounds and feels like a car wash sometimes.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.75 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Medium

Today there was busyness around me. I especially liked one where a lady got stuck in one of the problematic elevators. Once in a while this elevator will either 1)stop between the 1st and 2nd floor 2)drop, giving you that sinking feeling fast, (sorry elevators don't roll). Lady starts freaking out saying she has a medical emergency, she has cancer. What the? Could it be cloisterphobia? No. Anxiety attack? No. Heart Problems? No. The usual gammut of medical problems? No. Just cancer. Is the cancer attacking? No. The engineer is there and he calls the elevator guys. The lady's lawyer comes and freaks out wagering lawsuits for all whos there. Ok, that doesn't really solve anything does it? Total time the lady is there about 25minutes (she claims an hour). Elevator dood comes, talks to the lady and finds out she somehow pushed the elevator stop button. She gets freed while 2 fire engines and an ambulance arrive with axes and gurneys with defribs in the ready. She refuses medical treatment. what about the cancer?

In other gizmo toy news.
Anybody want a ultra mad flashlight that can start fires?

From Wicked Lasers Inc. Appropriately named the torch. 300$ 4100 lumens, 15 minute run time.
A $300 flashlight that runs for 15 minutes? ehh i dunno..

Beh, oh well, at least i'm classed. Went to Richmond to snap some caps, with the storm predicted to be 70-80%, it came a little here n there. That lead to only about 25 people doing this special qualifier. Neat thing with low turn-out is 1) since it's a special qualifier you can 'redo' your string of fire, 2) as much as you want as long as people don't get irritated of your shooting. Out of the four stages, two were in the 64-66% (b class) while the other 2 were in the 56-58% (c class).
I'll settle with a c class, at least i'll have some designation. There were quite a few retries with my comrads and i. It looks so simple and easy, yet it was hard and tiring.
I think i need my para tuned a bit, the trigger has some play and the reset is kinda long. Hmmz, i wonder if i should get another video to learn about disassembly n tuning.

Oh i need to put this dream diary up but it involves Fluffielady's Dream. I think this happened 2-3 nights before today. We watched the news before going to bed, it was all about the storms. One of the last things we heard was a house caught on fire and a dozen cats perished. Fluffielady is quite sensitive to kitties and had a dream of some sort with this feline dozen. Off to bed we went, and in the middle of the night i was on my side facing away and started to roll back towards fluffielady. About a quarter of the way i hear a screaming 'stop, no, no stop!' i thought i was crushing fluffieladys hand or finger and decided not to move anymore. When we woke up i told her about her screaming and she was telling me about the dozen cats dying and that i was rolling over them, crushing them. Thats some serious dream!

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.3 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Short

Finally the results are in on the ipsc match of sunday. With my focus on actually hitting the targets i'm ranked in the 64%. The Classifier at 62% , not bad. Theres a special classifier where all stages will count instead of one of the five. Then i'll be classed, woo! I just need to keep that up.

I found a good video on texas stars. I did something to the effect of the second shooter.

Lala, doing my sunday morning blog roaming and i find this: (Going out of Business)CompUSA (Yes! BURN!) refuses to accept cash when a guy finds some items on the cheap. What kind of idiots are they? It doesn't matter, but i did hear that horror online shop TigerDirect.com is buying the CompUSA brick n mortar stores. GoodLord! Capt'N D n i always talk about an old Garfield Cartoon (remember those?) where Jon tries to pay in cash and people freak out. I guess the time has come!

Well since the blog window is open i might as well tell you a story that i might have written about but can't seem to find in my blog.
Last year there was highschool 'girl A' with a 3.5-3.8 gpa, normal girl, worked hard, etc. Then theres 'girl B' who is thuggy, loudmouthed, ignorant (i've figured theres 2 kinds of people, ignorant and non-ignorants, it cancels racism since ignorants apply to all races). Girl B doesn't like Girl A for a variety of reasons. Girl B taunts Girl A here and there with the typical 'what up biatch' type stuff. Girl A ignores or walks away. This goes on for several months, not constant just here and there.
Finally Girl B with a few friends happens to see Girl A off campus. Girl B steps up with the usual remarks and pushes Girl A. Girl A responds by clocking Girl B on the side of her head knocking her down and out for a few seconds.
Girl A is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon 245(A)1 a felony. Girl A goes into custody, Girl A goes to court. Even though Girl B testifies that she started the fight, Girl A is found Sustained (Guilty in juvenile terms) on her charges. So what happens? Girl A is sent off to a girls camp for 6 months. She comes back and Girl B levies $42000 in medical bills + possible future costs. That part hasn't been decided yet, the story continues to a later date.
Hows that for justice? Does that want to make you believe in the justice system? Or that your hard work in life is meaningless now because you own 40grand to some ignorant clown bugging you?

I'll write about another injustice soon.

Last Nights Purdy Stars. Hopefully it shows up.

Today was pretty cool, headed off to shoot some IPSC to practice for next sundays Special IPSC match. Todays goal was to hit better then to spray it all away. Clear sunny sky, sorta cool sorta warm weather was alright.
129 rounds thrown downrange. I did pretty decently, i hope. It was my first time to engage a texas-star as well as a mover. I did ok on the star but the mover went off on me. It was the only miss of the match. It was packed with people, with 17 person squads meant there was about 60 ppl there. We were done around 2:30pm.

Came home and Paul n Crew visited and hung out for a bit. Silly Chloe and Lizzie running about showing us how unchildproof our house was. Little Octavius (Ben) was all knocked out most of the time.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.4 out of 10
Time During Lunch: Med

Senator Don Peralta, an anti-gun nut (who applied in 1999 for a carry conceal weapons permit. But no longer because of political pressure.) is hosting a gun buyback program due to a 10-year old shot while at piano class. $250, no questions asked, give up the gun and you get the cash.
I saw him being interviewed before i went to work on chan 2 news. He says it himself 'i doubt many criminals will be going to this, but if we get one gun off the street, it's one less gun, one less chance, one less dead, less crime etc.' so whos gonna go?
Hypothetically lets say theres 50 stolen/illegal guns out n about and theres 500 legally owned weapons. Thats 10 legally owned guns to every 1 illegal. If 100 legal guns are given up and disposed, 'cuz the senator says, 'i doubt many criminals will come,' then theres 400 legally owned guns. That reduces peoples defensive stance from 10:1 to 8:1. Hows that a less chance of crime? i don't get it. Cops are fine and dandy to come protect you in times of need. But response times are at least a few minutes. A whole lot can happen in a few minutes.
Life nowadays isn't take my wallet, it's cool. People have been killed on a whim, because someone looked at them funny, because your from the fillmore and not from potrero hill, because of gas money.
i'm all for guns, but i'm not for felons, crazies, unstable people in possession of them. Gun control would be nice if it started from the beginning, but gun control now will never work will so much crap out there. I'm for defense and protection but the line between defense and provocation is quite thin. Theres just too much hate out there, too much resentment, long-term grudges. The solution to the problem is a complex multidiscipline one.
I'm not giving my gun for 250$ thats way too little to what i paid.

Oh i've got 2 stories about how crime pays. i'll put them up soon.

Board meeting #1 at Homewood

Type of Snow: Groomed pretty good turning okay-slightly icy..
Weather condition: Blue Sky, little wind gusts but at some periods zero wind.
Gear Used: Blue Jacket and backpack w/ very little gear..
Road condition: Clear, Smooth Sailing..

It's always a good snow day when the Medi-Vac Helicopter isn't there.
An ex coworker of mine Mark, swung by at 5:25am to head out to Homewood, land of the only boarding deal out there so far. The drive was easy, the air crisp and sun smiling on everybody. The runs were pretty good, until 2pm on the mid-mountain side, the shade came over and discerning the landscape got a bit hard. I was starting to feel the burn in my quads, and Mark is having foot issues. He wanted to board as much before seeing the orthopedic surgeon. We did about 20 runs, going all over, probably doing every run out there. My only dismay is the terrain park sux, 3 little humps, and another area containing a box and some rolling hills. What can you do with that?
On the way back we stopped at Ikedas for some Tasty Burgers. And i drove from then on, Mark wasn't feeling it. So rolling in a Honda Element AWD was cool, it had decent throttle response and good handling. The inside cabin is huge! A Cool nifty little thing.
Tommorrow i might feel it in my shoulders, i'm feeling something right now. oi!

Today the gang hung out for Berts Birthday at Park Chow. Roz n Robyn are expecting in two weeks or so. Brian n Kim are chugging along next in line. Childrens! The next stage of life comes in a wave of pampers and car seats.

Time to get the gear ready for some snow action tommorrowz. It's been a long while. I think the snowboarding sport is started to get on the madly expensive side. Some sites won't even tell you their prices!
58$ for Alpine Meadows, 63 for holiday
78$ at heavenly
69$ at kirkwood, 72 for holiday
74$ at Northstar, 76 for holiday
65$ at Sierra-at-tahoe, 68 for holiday
73$ at Squaw, 77 for holiday
60$ at Sugar bowl, 70 for holiday
44$ at Boreal, but who goes there anymore?

Only decent deal is homewood monday-thursday 39$.

Some places i can understand, they did these fancy chateau village places but others are still the same shanti shack with the same 8$ chili dog breadbowl. What gives?

Snapped a few caps at the Open Range. Played around with my christmas present of a Marlin 1894 in .44Mag. Nice and quick to handle, the trigger is a bit stuff though, i'll see what i can do with that.
I did do a quick reloading drill on my revolver, 6 shots - Reload - 5 Shots (didn't shoot the last) on the timer for 8.5 seconds. I tried again with 6 - 6 - 6 and with slight fumbling and slower trigger time got it around 18 seconds.

After screwing around with that, roamed over to a coworkers surprise party. Luckily he wasn't drafted and showed up stunned upon entry. Live Salsa band is his thing so there was one in the backyard. Good times good times.

Level Of Difficulty at Work: 0.25 out of 10
Time During Lunch: None

The Interstate Mega-TronII is in, and Delilah is rockin n rolling again. I'm guessing that since the previous battery was non-existant that it did it's own ECU reset. Popped the old battery out, put the new in and she just started over like it wasn't anything. Drove her down Devils Slide and everything seemed fine. The only exception was the windshield seemed forever fogged, it took quite a while to defrost and then to completly warm up.
I've got places to go tommorrow so i'll roll in Delilah for a bit and then engage the battery tender on it.

Yesterday fluffielady and i had an adventure. First we went to Costco for some things and some car batteries. We found one for the Rav4, but not one for delilah. Its like my car is rare or something. We get home and fluffielady is feeling a little cabin feverish. She wanted to go on a road adventure and we head to the almighty Wal-Mart at Mountain View. We haven't been to a walmart in ages, something to the effect of 2-3 years. We get some goods and even here with their selection of booty car batteries, Delilah's was not found. Lordy, so i'm going for an interstate battery, which fluffielady is picking it up as we speak. Tommorrow shes heading down south while i stay n work.. boo!

Farking heck! I think delilah decided to take a dump on its battery. An Optima Red Top 5-6 years old for 100$! They're supposed to be 2x the life n all that jazz! It worked fine on friday, today i decided to take her for a spin and it won't even crank over. It just made clicking noises, and was crazy dim. Oi! Even when locking and unlocking Delilah sounded sad. Man my car has turned to hooptie status now.. =\

i had some dream this morning, i think it involved shooting guns. But its vague.

Alright now we have a storm worth a thing or two!

Yesterday at 6:20am the lights went out at our house right before i left. It finally turned on today at 10:30am or so. 30 hrs of no power! We went to a play production that my neighbors kid was in and that theater was running on generators and car powered inverters, there were a few blackouts but handheld flashlights kept the show going.
Thanks to the multitude of candles and a manually lit gas stove and running water, it wasn't that bad at home. A little chilly but thats about it. The In-laws purchased 3 cases of costco firewood that worked out for us, woo! Now its time for some smores!

Anyhow going back to yesterday, i drove delilah to work and the parking spot i noticed one thing. Delilah is sitting under a tree. While it wasn't a youngin it wasn't a monsterous old growth either. As i walked off i wonder if the tree was gonna tumble. Lo n behold it did.

Instead of landing down the winds moved it forward right between delilah and a BMW, with the branches resting on the bmw's trunk. Woo nellie! It's neat to see rain heading uphill, also the amount of downed lines, trees, accidents, it got pretty thick.

Now to my dream, i had 2 but only remembered one. I was driving on surface streets with Roz and the lane merges instantly. Well this lady just decides to fly up on in at us. I avoid slightly and our front corner panels and mirror touch. She looks at us and had that scared-and-sorry expression on her face. Like you don't notice a bright yellow car right next to you? As we're merging, i hear this honking and screaming from behind. So we pull over and the lady tells us shes sorry and she didn't see. The car behind with the honking and swearing had this HUGE 350+ pound lady swearing and cussing at her, saying 'can't you see!.., what kind of driver are you!.. what the $@#!...' I remember turning to Roz and saying, Dang shes HUGE!

hahhaa

i'm not liking all this hype about the ultimate storm of the season. Hype, it's all about the hype.

Another type of hype that i don't like are commercials with annoying children. Either they are know it alls, or they're ignorant, dumb, brats.
One example:

If you didn't notice the hybrid emblem on the back or little flower emblems on the sides, i can see if you didn't see the fat hybrid lettering when the hood is lifted or that one of the drivers gauges shows battery usage. But i think the central video screen that shows how the electric and gas motors are working kinda gives you the hint. And oh ya that engine noise, or lack of it, might tell ya something.

My other favorite commercial was in christmas time. Where dad somehow was eating cookies meant for santa. The annoying kid shouts and screams at dad to make a new batch and leave it the hell alone or else! Jeez, talk about bags of coal for u, little brat!

Woot woot Happy New Years!

Fluffielady and i went to a ex-co-workers party to hang out with some peeps that she hasn't seen in a while who lives in Twin Peaks. As usual the drinking was floating everywheres.

Before midnight we had our own disco ball / midnight ball!

Held up by a thumbtack, it had 'malfunctions' a few times. And its hand spun woo!

Earl the Cat Plays with Glowsticks! Hes getting into the raving mood!

The Conundrum of the day. While the midnight hour struck, half of us was in the cold on a balcony watching the fireworks from a distance. While on the other side of the sliding door oh 5 feet away was a TV showing live the exact explosives popping. I'd stay outside, live is always better than Televised.

Boomboom! From a Distance. Stupid Light Pole, get out of the way!

I did manage to learn something at this party. And that is to tie a bow-tie, well sorta. Being inebriated while trying to maneuver a slightly complex piece of cloth was interesting.
